Last Field Trip of Summer

getting the goggles on just right
Cooper enjoyed spending the day at the pool
jumping off the diving board into 15ft water
Reagan showing Cooper around the pool
I'd say he enjoyed the slide
 back to swimming
she has become such a good swimmer this summer

 waiting his turn in line
no day at the pool would be complete without a snack
he loved to sit in the waterfall
I love these two so much!
 more turns down the slide
 back to swimming
 riding the "waves"
Cooper spent most of the day going down the slide
Reagan joined him a few times
Cooper made lots of friends today
 Isn't she the sweetest
Cooper skipped his nap at school today ~ can you tell?
Reagan giving her brother a few kisses
 drying off in the sun
It was a great last field trip for summer camp ~ I'm so glad Cooper and I got to spend it with Reagan!

Spontaneous Sunday

After church, our life group decided to have a spontaneous lunch outing.  We haven't all been together in a while because of busy summer schedules, so it was nice to catch up and just be together again.  Can't wait for life group to start back soon.

the gang's (almost) all here
After dinner tonight, we were all set to go on a family bike ride, but as soon as the last helmet was put on, the rains came.  So we improvised with bike riding in the garage.

Cooper in action
Reagan is getting too big for this bike!
Reagan is ready to learn to ride without training wheels so she can get a bigger bike.  Here's Greg taking off her training wheels
riding without training wheels (with a little help from dad)
 look at her go
Cooper didn't want to be left out of the pictures
Reagan made it about halfway across the garage by herself before getting nervous/scared and having to put her feet down.  We are so proud of her!

Trip to the Bookstore

Reagan and Cooper made their first trip to the bookstore today.  Reagan had received a gift card for her birthday and finally decided she was ready to spend it!

Salon de Sandidge

We've started giving Greg and Cooper haircuts at home now.  They both use a #3 guard on clippers ~ how hard can it be???

Creature Capture

Cooper found a caterpillar in the driveway this morning and was captivated by it!

trying to get the caterpillar to crawl onto his finger
Cooper wanted Reagan to see his new "find"
we put the caterpillar in a critter box and the kids gathered sticks, rocks, grass and flowers for its new home
they did a great job setting up "house"
 so sweet

In The Know

This afternoon, Reagan's school posted the list of homeroom teachers on the school doors.  We went as soon as the list was available.  Reagan will be in Ms F's class (who happens to live in our neighborhood) and has many of her friends from her kindergarten class as well as a friend from pre-school in her class this year.  We can't wait for the year to start next week!
