Beautiful

As part of her spelling work each week, Reagan has to define the words, show pronunciation, draw a picture and write two sentences for each word.  One of her words last week was beautiful.

Her 2nd sentence says:

"My daddy thinks I am beautiful in everything"

...her mommy does too!

Valentine's Party Delayed

Due to the snow of last week and the closing of school, Reagan's class Valentine's party had to be postponed until today.  The kids celebrated with an ice cream party and then exchanged valentines.

My Two Dates

Today, I was lucky enough to have one-on-one dates with both of the kids!

I had breakfast with Reagan at Muffins with Mom at her school

 After Cooper's class party, I stayed and had lunch with him!

Rainforest Diorama

Reagan had her first-ever social studies project due for school today.  She created a diorama depicting the rainforest.  She had to include animals and plants that make their home in the rainforest ~ she chose a red-eye tree frog, alligator, snake, jaguar, tapir, and iguana for the animals; moss, ferns, vines, and orchids for the plants.

She did a great job!

Field Trip - Wonder Works

Reagan's 3rd grade class went on their first field trip of the year.  They went to Wonder Works in Pigeon Forge.  I believe they all had a great time~it's like a mega discovery museum.

After a few hours of play, they had lunch and then went back to school.  A nice way to start Thanksgiving break!

Playing Catch Up

Just playing catch up from the last few weeks worth of school activities.

 Cooper also learned that bears hibernate and eat "fesh"

 Reagan became Student of the Week at her After School Program

 Reagan also earned a certificate and movie day at school for reading 5 books over the summer, writing a letter to the author and illustrating each book.

Painting Party

The PTA at Reagan's school held a painting party tonight.  Everyone was given a canvas to paint their interpretation of "greatness"  Reagan was in her element and had a great time.
