Black Friday Fun

Greg had to work today, so I took the kids out for an all day adventure.  First, we went the the Fantasy of Trees Christmas Show.  We shopped, looked at trees, watched dancers, got our pictures made and did a few arts & crafts.
Outside of the Convention Center
the snow globe mural was beautiful
 Cooper loved watching the dancers!
A little shout out to my work - this tree and scene was courtesy of Donate Life Tennessee
We saw the real Santa, but the line was too long (not that my kids would sit on his lap anyway!).  Cooper chose to pose with this statue of Santa - Reagan wouldn't even pose with this one!
they each chose their favorite tree to pose in front of
 A cookie decorating station
Cooper didn't want to decorate, he doesn't like icing.  He just wanted to eat the cookie!
Next up was sand art - always a favorite
Holiday Hissers were the last craft
 working so intently
 the decorations were absolutely gorgeous!
 so are these kids!
After The Fantasy of Trees, we went and visited Greg at his new office and took him out to lunch.
Cooper loves to pretend to type
Reagan thought spinning in the chair was fun!
We stopped by Barnes & Noble to pick out a couple of new books
choosing their books carefully
Cooper played with a few trains
while REagan continued to read
the real reason for our visit to the bookstore ~ Cooper's free birthday cookie!  He chose triple chocolate chunk
We had a great day of being together and may make this an annual event!

Tinsel and Treasure

Reagan and I attended the Tinsel & Treasure Christmas Market this morning.  It was fun to spend some "girl time" together!  We bought a few Christmas presents and were able to do a little art work too!
on our way!
 let the painting begin
 it's coming together
 a beautiful Christmas stocking
We describe our paintings as loosely interpretive stockings!

Big Buy

Reagan has been saving her money since Christmas.  She even asked for money for her birthday.  After months of debating whether to make the big purchase or not, she did it today!  She bought her very own iPod Touch, with her very own money!
One happy girl!

Field Trip

Today, Cooper and I took a little field trip to see Greg at work and have lunch with him.  Cooper was so excited to see his daddy and his tractors!

wanting to be like daddy!
after lunch with daddy, Cooper and I ran a few errands in the big city before coming home!

Thanksgiving Eve 2011

Reagan had the day off from school today, so she and I had a mini "girls' day out".  We went shopping, had lunch and she did something special for Cooper this afternoon.  Once we all were home, we spent most of the afternoon playing outside.

Reagan found some antlers while shopping
lunch at Old McDonald's ~ she even ordered and paid all by herself
Reagan asked Cooper's teacher if she could read to the "little kids" this afternoon.  She chose a book about trucks!
She did an awesome job and was a confident reader
it was a perfect day to fly kites
and ride bikes
my sweet, sweet boy
they collected feathers
they played kickball
they chased each other around the backyard
and pouted when he didn't win!!
