Mother's Day 2015

Happy Mother's Day 2015!
Reagan and Cooper made me breakfast - a bowl of oatmeal with strawberries, and presented me with cards and flowers.
at church, they had photographers there to take family pictures as a Mother's Day present.  (we just happen to have our photographer in our small group and he sent us a sneak peak of our photo)
After church, we ate lunch with Gigi & Bubba at Calhoun's
we took a few selfies while we waited
we also took pics while we waited on our food
Cooper was O.V.E.R. taking photos!!!
but he perked up once lunch was over

Mother's Day 2014

Reagan and Cooper wrote some very nice things about me for Mother's Day..
 By Reagan:
My Mom's Name Is:  Tara Carpenter Sandidge
She is 40 years old and 5 ft 2 in tall.  I think she weighs 80lbs.  My mom grew up in Soddy Daisy Tennessee.  I think mom graduated in 1972
My mother's favorite color is purple.  She loves to eat strawberries.  Her most memorable time with our family was when we had family movie night.  My mom always reminds me to turn off the lights.  I know mom is tired when she works out.  I can always tell she is mad when we do something wrong.  I know she loves our family because she is nice.  Her least favorite chore is laundry.  She really loves it when I do things with a good attitude.  I give her hugs and kisses 3 times a day.  I love my mother more than anything

 by Cooper:
My mom's name is Tara
She is 29 years old
She has brown hair and blue eyes
When I am at school, my mom goes to work
My mom loves to eat anything
When we are together, my mom and I play

Family Portrait

As a special treat for Mother's Day, our church had professional photographers come take pictures of all of the families before they entered the building.  We have never had a professional picture taken of our family - just me and a timer!!  Such a treat to have a real photo!

Mother's Day 2013

Happy Mother's Day!!  Today was a very special day, as I think the kids are grasping what Mother's Day is.  They couldn't do enough for me!!  They went shopping yesterday and hid the goodies in the basement, fixed me breakfast this morning and gave me lots and lots of specially made treats ~ and plenty of hugs and kisses too!
this was on the table when I went downstairs
Reagan picked out the flowers
 Cooper picked out cupcakes
Reagan made me waffles; Cooper added the strawberries
 my breakfast is served!
not only did they fix my breakfast...
they ate most of it for me too!
 me and my first born
trying to get a good picture, but the sun was in their eyes
after church and lunch, we went to Ginger's house for dessert - Italian Cream Cake and ice cream
 Love these two

Cooper likes to play with Barney

Mother's Day 2012

Happy Mother's Day!!  We celebrated the day by going to church, out to eat with our Life Group (& of course we had to have dessert at Rita's Ice), then home to relax.  The relaxation only lasted for a little while as I had to clean the house for a showing on Monday.

I tried to get a self portrait of me and the kids ~ these are the best I could do!
Greg offered to take a few pictures outside for me
it was a little far away, so I cropped it!
Cooper wanted to take some pictures too
he did a really good job!
now, it was Reagan's turn to be the photographer
It was a wonderful Mother's Day and I am so blessed to be the mom of Reagan and Cooper.  My heart (and my hands) are full!

Mother's Day Tea-Ball

Today was an exciting day for both Reagan and Cooper.  The first grade at Reagan's school hosted a Mother's Day Tea for all of the moms.  We were treated to breakfast and a sweet program from the kids.  Cooper had a ballgame this afternoon and had an awesome game ~ he had 2 great hits and fielded all but 4 of the balls from the other team.

Cooper took a few pictures of Reagan and I this morning...
 this one is better!
Cooper wanted to have his picture made too.  Notice we're all in orange ~ Reagan coordinated all of our outfits!
 my date for the morning
Each child wrote a poem about their mom and read it aloud in front of their classmates & guests.
Needless to say, there weren't a lot of dry eyes in the room when all of the kids had finished reading about their moms!
MY MOM:
My mom is nice because she does a lot of things. She cooks me food; she tucks me into bed; she is the best mom I could ever have. She is nice to me.
our breakfast:  biscuits & jelly and apple bites ~ compliments of the cafeteria
 a hand print flower

I wasn't able to get a lot of really good pictures at the ballgame tonight because they played on a different field where my camera angle was obstructed by the fence
 on deck
 ready to bat
 on 1st base
He hit this ball all the way to the grass!
