Saturday Scenes

It was a busy Saturday for the Sandidges.  First up, Reagan attended a friend's roller skating birthday party (which meant I also attended & skated at the party).  Then, we picked up Cooper and Greg for lunch and to run some errands.  When we came home, the boys played indoor football and then we watched "Simon Birch" for our family movie night.
Reagan found that it was easier to roller skate with in-line skates than regular roller skates.  It was more like ice skates for her.

This is us skating together before the big fall (mine, not Reagan's).  I'm bruised really good and am pretty sure I may have cracked my tail bone.  I believe it's time for a certain 41 year old to hang up her skates!
Cooper has discovered being a dj - he loves to wear his headphones for no reason at all!

We ended the night with dinner and a movie

Skater Girl

Reagan was invited to a classmate's birthday party at a local roller skating rink.  She had so much fun and even skated by herself a little.  She hadn't been skating since she went to another friend's party last year!
ready to go
in the middle of the rink
Greg sent me a picture of Cooper on their man's night out at Cracker Barrel
 meanwhile back at the rink...
Reagan convinced me to get on skates too
We had a good time, but my backside will be sore for a while to come!  I took a pretty hard fall when Reagan grabbed on to me to get her balance.  I'm getting too old for this stuff!!!!

Roller Skating

Another of Reagan's classmates had a birthday party this weekend.  Today's party was held at the roller skating rink...and Cooper was invited too.  It was the first time either of them had been skating (and the first time I had skated in about 18 years!)!
the fun begins with a refreshing drink
 a little unsure of herself
 going it alone without mom
 getting better
Cooper said his roller skates were "really rolly and make him do crazy things"!
he finally decided to come out on the rink
he didn't want to let go of the wall
 can you say FAKE smile?
that's more like it (of course, he is on solid ground!)
 watching the cake being cut
 yummy.
the kids did great skating.  Reagan actually let go of the wall and "skated" around by herself by the end of the party.  Cooper held my hands while he skated. And, I am going to be sore tomorrow!!!
