Play Time

Sunday afternoon, we all got outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather of the weekend (because next week, they're calling for temps about 25 degrees cooler).

taking a stroll in the grass
Having a snack outside Daddy and his shadow
Daddy and his little helper
He can rake with one hand and use a shovel with the other!!
Watching the neighbor's dog
Reagan had enough of the outdoors and wanted to come help me cook spaghetti
After dinner we went on a wagon walk around the neighborhood. (not the most flattering picture of me, but I wanted to prove that the kids do have a mom!)

Up, Up and Away

Another windy day, another great day to fly a kite!

Reagan got a new Mickey Mouse Clubhouse kite

Cooper took over flying the Tigger and Pooh kite
Look how high my kite is!
Cooper had enough of kite flying and decided to go for a walk
After kite flying, we went for a wagon ride around the neighborhood

Another Day to Play

We thought we'd better get some outdoor time in before the weather turned cooler on us again this weekend.

Cooper's always the 1st one out the door!
Reagan cleaning up the mess Cooper made with the sand
Playing together
How much sand can he eat with just his hands?
Not as much as he can eat using a shovel!
Where's my horn?
Reagan rode around the neighborhood on her tricycle all by herself (almost 1 mile!)
Cooper enjoyed being pushed in his car
When we got back, Cooper was ready to go again in the wagon
Please, just one more time!

Sunday Fun

Reagan and I do our baking/cooking on Sunday afternoons and today was no different. Except the baking turned out horribly and we had to throw much of it away...

Such a good helper
Making sure it's mixed to perfection
Quality control is her favorite job
Making sure the toothpick comes out clean
The cake was supposed to have turned out like this (but it didn't. It tasted good, it just wouldn't stay together for the icing). We did have enough batter to make some extra cupcakes, so all was not lost!
After dinner, we all needed some fresh air after 3 days of rain

Cooper decided he would rather ride in the wagon than walk!
Every few steps, Reagan would stop and mark her spot with sidewalk chalk
He doesn't understand why a 10 minute walk has turned into a 30 minute walk ~ welcome to life with Reagan!!
To speed things up, Reagan got in the wagon too and she and Cooper had fun playing ball while being pulled around the neighborhood
I think it's about time for Cooper to get a haircut
Throwing the ball to Cooper
She caught it!!

Our Saturday

No daddy/daughter date today (Greg was taking a class at the local community college 9am-9pm) and because I had a previously scheduled hair appointment that I just couldn't miss....Ms Deb graciously agreed to come over and play with Reagan and Cooper for a couple of hours. She even stayed a little longer so I could go to the grocery store all by myself. I know I say this all the time, but we are so blessed to have Ms Deb in our lives. There are many, many times that she &/or Kim have helped us out when we were in a pinch. Thanks Ms Deb...we don't know how we'll ever repay you for all you do for us.

Having fun playing in the yard
Picking up leaves for the "birthday party"Even raking leaves is fun when Ms Deb is around!
When I went to get Reagan up from her nap, this is what I found...remind me to never get on her bad side! She said her friends were in time out because they weren't listening.
It was a relatively warm afternoon, so we decided to go for a walk around the neighborhood (actually I needed to get some exercise and some fresh air and they just happened to come along for the ride and most importantly the snack)
Cooper enjoyed having the wagon all to himself for part of the walk
Reagan decided that she wanted to be a "good big sister and pull Cooper in the wagon"
