Family Date Night

Cooper was scheduled to have his first soccer practice of the spring session tonight, but the weather had other plans.  So, we made other plans too ~ we went out to dinner...on a Thursday!

Fire and Ice

Tonight was the local Girl Scout Council's annual Father/Daughter Dance.  The theme for the dance was Fire and Ice.  Each scout and their father was asked to wear red and/or blue.  I ordered Reagan 4 different dresses, and she fell in love with this one.

 Greg and Reagan went out to dinner at Reagan's favorite restaurant (Taco Boy), then headed to the dance.  At the dance, they had cupcakes, ice cream and several other treats.  Reagan said they played a lot of good music...and this was the best night of her life!

Meanwhile, Cooper also planned a date night for me and him.  He wanted to eat at Sonic and have a milkshake.  Big spender, that one!

 we got the food to go so we could come home to the best part of the date...cartoons.  Seriously, if he treats all his dates this way, he won't have too many.  That may not be a bad idea!!!

When Reagan and Greg made it home, we finished off the evening with a family movie night.  We watched The Book of Life.

Girl Scout Cookie Time

Reagan worked her first booth of the cookie season this afternoon.  She has done a great job selling cookies!

After the cookie booth, Greg had a very special evening planned for the two of them.  Chick-Fil-A was having their annual daddy/daughter date night, so Greg made reservations for him and Reagan.  He said they had the tables nicely decorated and had waitresses to come and take their orders.  They had a great time, even if I didn't get to take pictures of them!  They did have their photo made, but we wont have it for a couple of weeks!

While Greg and Reagan were out to dinner, Cooper and I had our own date.  He chose IHOP!

Date Night

The local Chili's restaurant held a daddy/daughter date night tonight.  So, not to be outdone, Cooper and I went on a date night of our own!

He choose pizza!  We had a great time!

Greg and Reagan had fun too, but unfortunately Greg didn't document the occasion!

Date Nights

Tonight, Greg & I took the kids out on dates.  Greg and Reagan attended the Father/Daughter Dance sponsored by the Girl Scouts.  Cooper and I ate dinner and went shopping (all his request!).

 Eating pizza - Cooper said he wanted to go eat pizza because Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles like pizza and he wants to be a Ninja Turtle!

 Next Cooper wanted to buy something.  He used his chore money to buy a dinosaur and a snake.

 We spent an hour perusing the isles of Wal-Mart looking for the perfect toy!  (Love his expression here)

 Finally, we ended up at Chick-Fil-A so he could run off some energy and get a milkshake.

Sweet 16

Greg and I are celebrating 16 years of marriage today.  It hasn't been perfect, but there has been waaay more good than bad.  We've had fun and would do it all over again!

Date Night

For the first time in many months, Greg and I had a date night!  We went to dinner, a movie (for the 1st time in 10 years) and the highlight of the night...grocery shopping sans kids!  It's amazing how quickly you can shop when you're by yourself!!



Dad's Dates

Greg had a big day on Saturday - 2 dates in one day!

He and Reagan went out for pancakes. He hopes to have a weekly daddy/daughter date.

That evening, Greg and I had a date night. Ms Deb offered to watch Reagan and Cooper for us. She even prepared dinner for them and put them to bed so we wouldn't have to worry about anything or come home too early. We are so blessed to have this special lady in our lives. I know Reagan and Cooper feel the same way ~ she treats them as if they are her own grandchildren!
