Dentist Support

Reagan and Cooper had dental appointments today...and Snowflake was very supportive!

Excellent report from the dentist - no cavities for either.  They were super excited that Cooper had stopped sucking his thumb...they made a HUGE deal of it!

Tuesday Fun

Our day started off with a dental appointment for Reagan (no cavitites, probably braces in 1.5-2years).  I took her to school, then I went to work.  Cooper had to wait until the afternoon for his dental appointment because of achievement testing at the school (no cavities, needs to stop sucking his thumb IMMEDIATELY!).  After Cooper's visit, I picked Reagan up from After School Care and we went home to play.  All the neighborhood kids ended up at our house for bubbles, chalk, scooters and a game or two of tag and hide-n-go seek.

Cooper used his karate skills to burst the bubbles!

why can't they be this sweet all the time?!?
this makes my heart so happy to see all the neighborhood kids at our house
I've always wanted to be the "fun house" where the kids come to play!
 they had bubble busting wars!
 they had scooter races
I can't convince Cooper to take off his training wheels - he doesn't want to take the time to learn to ride a bike, he just wants to be able to ride

Check-Up

Time for the semi-annual dental visit for the kids!  They both had great reports ~ no cavities for either.  Just need to work on brushing a little bit better!

Dental Visit

The kids had their annual check up at the dentist this morning.  It was our first visit in our new town, so they were both a little nervous.
Making new friends
Their appointments were back to back, so I sat in the waiting room with each of them, but was allowed to go back when Dr Britton was checking up on Cooper ~ thus only ONE picture!
It was a great visit, neither had cavities, but Cooper was warned to stop sucking his thumb and finger!!!
This office was great, both kids said they had fun!
After the dentist, Cooper went to school for his class Easter party while Reagan spent the day with Gigi (I stayed with a friend who is recovering from surgery).  After school, I took Cooper to see Bubba...and he's back in his happy place~driving lawnmowers!

Day at the Dentist

This morning, the kids had dental appointments.  Cooper was such a flirt with all of the ladies who worked in the office!  I'm going to have my hands full with him in a couple of years.  Reagan was petrified that Dr J was going to pull one of her teeth (even though NONE are loose!) because that's what happened last time she was here!  Good report for both ~ no cavities and home care is great!

Reagan had to get x-rays this time
Cooper held a train to pass the time
Reagan had to have someone comfort her and assure her no teeth would be pulled on this visit.

Dental Day

Today was dental day for the Sandidge children.  They were both so good at the dentist's office.  Cooper actually let them clean his teeth and Reagan was very brave too.

I was so proud of him!
Reagan getting checked out by Dr J.,  Dr J surprised Reagan by pulling her front tooth that had been loose for about 2 months.  She said the tissue had started growing back and the tooth needed to come out.  So, she told Reagan that she needed to put some gel (numbing medicine) on her tooth and when it came time to rub the gel off ~ out came the tooth!  Reagan was a little surprised and upset that her tooth was out.
 Now, she's missing 4 teeth
but she's still cute as ever!
in celebration of bravery ~ Cooper getting his teeth cleaned and Reagan getting her tooth pulled ~ we treated the them to Rita's tonight!
Cooper was more interested in eating than getting his picture taken

No cavities for either one!!

No Cavities

This morning, Reagan and Cooper made their semi-annual trip to the "tooth doctor".

I think the highlight of the day is getting to play with the train set in the waiting room!

Reagan was so brave. She had to get xrays taken and then hopped up on the chair and let the hygienist scrape & brush her teeth ~with bubble gum toothpaste that she picked out~and then use the silly straw. This was the first time she's EVER let them use the electric toothbrush and silly straw.
Look at how comfortable she is on the chair. She acted like she'd done this every time! A great report ~ no cavities, 2 loose teeth and her 6 year molars are ready to come in!
Cooper was a no-go sitting in the chair. He did let the doctor look at his teeth (although he didn't do it willingly) and hopefully, next time he'll be a big boy and let them brush his teeth. Wishful thinking, I know! Cooper definitely comes for the trains!
