Happy 7th Birthday Reagan

My sweet big girl is SEVEN years old today.  I've told her this is the last birthday that she can have because I'm not ready for her to grow up so fast.

as usual on birthday mornings, we had personalized pancakes ~ the number "7' and her initials "RLS"
 Happy Birthday big girl!
We had a mini birthday photo shoot before school this morning!
 She's 7
Cooper and I went to eat lunch with Reagan at school today and bought all of her classmates an ice cream
we went back to her classroom where they sang "Happy Birthday" to her
She then got to tell the class all about her birthday party on Saturday and what she would be doing after school today
Greg got off work early and met us at Reagan's restaurant of choice ~ Olive Garden.  Greg surprised her by ordering a cake and all of the wait staff sang to her when they brought it out.
 Cooper couldn't believe his eyes!
 the cake was gooood!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY REAGAN!
WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH

First Day of First Grade

The first day of school is finally here!

Reagan began the morning with special pancakes in honor of beginning 1st grade
she LOVED them!
Reagan told me that I needed special pancakes for going to work, so she suggested...
Look at my big girl ~ the 1st grader
we had a mini photo session before leaving for school
Reagan wanted her picture made in front of some flowers ~ not just bushes, so we had to go to the neighbor's yard for those photos!
isn't she beautiful?
I convinced her to take a few photos in front of our house too!
they are so sweet!
Imagine our surprise when she got home from school today, our flower beds had been completely redone!  Reagan had to have a picture in front of "our very own flower garden"
First Day of FIRST GRADE!
here are few pictures of our new flower beds
A few quotes from the day:
  • on the way to school, Reagan said,"I feel a little weird (nervous) in my belly"
  •  when telling me about her day, Reagan said "1st grade is AWESOME!"; "1st graders know how to listen very well"; "I had THE BEST DAY"; "I hugged Ms A (her kindergarten teacher)two times today ~ it was pretty neat"
  • Reagan got to be the line leader all day today.  When I asked  her why she was the line leader she said, "It was my lucky day!"

Saturday Stuff

Not much exciting happening at our house this weekend...

watching cartoons and reading books before breakfast
pink pancakes for Reagan; yellow pancakes for Cooper
delicious pancakes

Reagan was back at her gymnastics class
she was much improved ~ walking on the high beam by herself
Ms Angela told her she was a big girl and could walk on the beam all by herself...and she did!
practicing her v-sit
swinging on the bars

front support all by herself
playing on the computer
This is a video of Reagan doing bunny hops on the high beam without a spot! I'm so proud of her!

A Heart-y Breakfast

This morning, Reagan asked for pancakes for breakfast. And not just any pancakes, she wanted heart shaped pancakes...5 to be exact. We continued our Valentine's theme with the heart shaped plates too!

Pink Pancakes

Once again, Reagan was in a baking mood. Today, she made us all pink pancakes for breakfast.

Measuring out the Bisquick
Next is the milk
Picking out just the right color...pink, of course
Making sure it is mixed just right
Now the waiting begins
Delicious!!
