Painting Pumpkins

This year, we decided to paint our pumpkins rather than carve them. I think the kids enjoyed this just as much!

Painted Pumpkin

We had bought 3 pumpkins at the pumpkin patch last week, so tonight Reagan painted the last pumpkin. Ms Deb & Ms Kim came over for a visit (and to help get some energy out of Cooper) and Reagan wanted to show off her artistic skills.

A Princess & A Pirate

Tonight we decided to carve, um decorate our pumpkins we got last weekend at the pumpkin patch. We (I) decided to go with the "Mr Potato Head" type decorations rather than carving. I don't think Reagan and Cooper realize that pumpkins can actually be carved, so what they don't know won't hurt them (at least this year)!

He decided to wear the container and kept saying, "hat, hat"

Decorating the Pumpkin

We let Reagan pick out the face she wanted to draw on the pumpkin this year. She picked out two ~ I traced them on the pumpkin and she colored them in all by herself.

Coloring with care
Such determination on her face Getting it done to perfection Just a little more Hmm, what should I draw next? Side 1 - finished So proud of her pumpkin
Happy Halloween

Pumpkin Patch

Reagan has been asking to get a Halloween pumpkin for about a week. Today was her lucky day! We found a pumpkin patch and let her pick out her own pumpkin ~ Cooper got to pick one out too!

Does this one look ok?
Cooper's got his pumpkin in hand
Such a sweet boy!
Decisions, decisions
How about this one?
Next stop, home.
As usual, Reagan had to be the one in control!
