Christmas Day 2008

Christmas morning was such a special time for our family. Reagan and Cooper enjoyed playing with the toys Santa left and Reagan was especially excited that Santa ate all the cookies she had baked for him and drank all of his milk.

Coming down the stairs to see what Santa had left
Looking at all the stamps and ink pads she received
3 princess Barbies for my princess
Cooper wants to play with Reagan's toys of course
What's in the stocking?
Checking out what's in his stocking
What do I play with now?
Of all the toys he got, he still likes to play with spatulas and get into the refrigerator!
Trying to get Reagan's toys before she notices
Up to the art studio for some painting
Using the stamps ~ she especially like the one with her name on it
An artist in the making
The next Picasso?
Having fun with each other
Cooper's turn to draw

Working one of her puzzles she got
It was such a pretty day, we decided to go for a walk around the neighborhood
And Reagan played in the Secret Garden
We have several movies from Christmas, but they're not uploading. I'll post them when I get a chance!
Merry Christmas everyone!

Thanksgiving Friday with Family

It's been our tradition since we moved to Hickory to celebrate Thanksgiving with our families on the Friday after Thanksgiving. We have the traditional meal of steak, shrimp, scallops, baked potato and salad. This year Gigi, Papaw, Mamaw, Papaw, Keira, Kim and Byrd all came to eat lunch with us and share what we were thankful for.

The day began with Reagan and Cooper playing at the sand and water table
Howard, the neighbor Will's dog, came for a visit and Cooper was more than ready to pet him. Reagan is in the arms of Gigi on the other side of the yard!
Back to playing at the sand table since Howard has moved on!
I spent the morning "slaving" in the kitchen
Coloring place mats with Keira, Mamaw & Byrd

The Kids' Table Rules!
Let's eat!
After lunch, Reagan and Keira were ready to party
They served all the women and entertained us for hours
Reagan bringing a plate full of cookies
Much needed rest ~ listening to the ipod
We went on a walk around the neighborhood to look at Christmas lights through these cool 3D glasses. They made all the lights look as if they had snowmen around them
Later that night, we made crafts ~ here is a picture of Reagan's Christmas tree

Wagon Walk

We're taking advantage of the great weather we've had lately and going on wagon walks around the neighborhood.

Ready to ride
Reagan trying to give Cooper a drink from his sippy cup
Saying "Cheese"
Cooper wants to know how much longer he has to be strapped in!

Fall Fun

Just a glimpse of our day on the 1st day of fall.

Reagan had her favorite meal ~ baked spaghetti and salad
She LOVES to eatCooper had garden vegetables - can you tell?Cooper loves to watch Reagan, no matter what she's doing...even running in circles.
Cooper wonders, "What is she talking about?"

Everyone Needs...

...a special lady like Ms. Deb in their lives. She is the sweetest, most giving lady I have ever met. She called last night asking if she could come over to play with Reagan and Cooper to give me a break for a couple of hours so I could get some things done around the house or to just have a few moments to myself. Reagan and Cooper absolutely adore Ms. Deb and she is one of the best playmates anyone could ask for. Every day as we pass Ms. Deb's house on the way to school, Reagan asks if she could see Ms. Deb ~ what a special treat for Reagan when she came over to play and gave her undivided attention (what every 3 year old needs)!

Thank you Ms. Deb for a few moments to get things a little more organized in my house!!

The Life!!

Don't you want to be 3 and/or 7 months again?? These two have it sooo good and they don't even know it!

The umbrella broke on our ride yesterday, so instead of getting another umbrella that they (Reagan) could fight over whose side it was on, I made the executive decision to get a canopy that covers both of them...no fighting required!!
So much fun. Is there room for me?
For some reason, Reagan has decided this is the way she needs to sit in the wagon, even with her dress on. She's been sitting like this for the past few rides.
Cooper thought he'd relax too and prop his leg up (although he can't quite get them to hang over the side like Reagan can!)
Not to be outdone, Reagan shows us another comfortable riding position. Actually, she's trying to keep Cooper from touching her feet and slobbering on "her side" of the wagon

Finally Friday

Our day in pictures....

Trying to get a good shot of the both of them is next to impossible. This (unfortunately) was the best of the morning!
Reagan truly is her mother's daughter ~ look at her trying to take Cooper's picture...and look at him trying to take the camera away from her!
All ready for the beach!
She picked the dress and hat out by herself this morning. She wore the hat all day at school.
I just love this picture for some reason.
So happy after a nap. Could it be because he knows dinner is coming?
And finally, a wagon ride around the neighborhood. Although she doesn't look like it in this picture, Reagan had a great time on the walk (except when Cooper slobbered on her wagon and touched "her side")
