Skating Party

Today was the end of the winter ice skating session, so they held an end of session party.  The kids got to show off their newly learned skills, play some games and skate without instruction.

Skating Day

Reagan had ice skating practice again today.  I haven't taken pictures or watched her practices in a few weeks.  I'm trying to let her be more independent, although it hasn't been easy!

Ice Cream Social

Reagan's skating rink held an ice cream social this afternoon in honor of National Ice Skating Month.  After their lessons, the skaters were treated to a big bowl of ice cream with all the toppings!  Then, they were allowed back on the ice for 2 hours of free skating!

Skating Practice

New skills are tough to learn, but Reagan is determined!  Reagan stayed for the public skating session after her class last night to work on some of the Basic 4 skills that she is learning.

Fun on the First

We had a great start to the New Year!  We cleaned the house, did a little yard work, played a few games, went ice skating, and also had a quick/surprise visit from Mamaw, Papaw, Helen & Allen.
Cooper and daddy added an extra shelf to Reagan's bookshelf
Cooper did take a little time to enjoy the cool weather

a fun game of 4-square broke out in the garage.
I played too, but had to take a few pictures...just because

Sk8 School

Reagan has been attending Sk8 School while out for Christmas break.  She has ice skating lessons every night for 30 minutes, followed by 2 hours of free skate/practice.  She has enjoyed it so much!  She's gotten more confident and stronger in her skating, learned some new skills and made some new friends along the way.  Reagan says, "skating is my life"!  So glad she's found an activity she loves so much!
