Play -N- Skate

We started the day off playing at the church's playground.  After church, we had lunch with our Bible study group and then on to ice skating practice.

another great day to play on the playground
Today was skills evaluation day.  The skaters were tested to see if they had learned the skills necessary to move up to the next level.
getting measured - Reagan should be able to glide backwards on one foot the length of her body
She did it!!!  Next skating session, Reagan will move up to the Basic 3 class!!!
Public skating session
skating is so much fun!
We are so proud of Reagan and all that she's learned in skating in such a short time!

Mommy/Daughter Day at Splash Country

Since Reagan's camp ended on a Thursday this week, she was a girl without a place to play today.  So, I took the day off work and we headed to Splash Country...just the two of us!  We had a great time ~ Reagan said it was better than vacation because she's "not a beach person, you know"!  She said it was the best day ever, but she did wish daddy and Cooper would have been able to come with us!
Ready to start our day of water fun!
Such a great day!
We rode almost every ride in the park (we rode some twice!). I've promised Cooper to take him by himself one day next week~good thing we have season passes!

Homecoming

We picked up Reagan from Girl Scout Camp this afternoon.  She had a fun week, filled with crafts, kayaking, swimming and eating!  She said she would go back again next year...so I guess she didn't miss us too much!
so excited to have my girl back home!
After a long shower and a fresh change of clothes, we let Reagan plan her homecoming celebration!  She chose Chili's for dinner and Menchi's for dessert!

Camper Girl

Reagan's summer of overnight camps continues this week.  Greg, Cooper and I took Reagan to Girl Scout Camp for their Textile Arts Camp.  The accommodations are a little more rustic that what Reagan is used to, but we know she's going to have a great time doing art, making friends and swimming.
Reagan's age group is in platform tents
the first activity when coming to camp was making a tye-dye Tshirt
wrapping the shirt; Reagan chose to do a spiral pattern
 applying the dye
 one more hug for dad!
 one of Reagan's tent-mates
I miss her already and can't wait to pick her up on Thursday!

Family Day

Cooper's soccer game was cancelled this morning due to all the rain we've had (and are still having).  So, we took the opportunity to have a family day.

Greg and Reagan went on a daddy/daughter breakfast date - she had won a gift card to Cracker Barrel at the last All-Pro Dad event at her school
Later that day, Greg and Cooper went to see the latest Transformers movie
while Reagan and I went to see Earth to Echo
It was a fun, relaxing rainy Saturday afternoon
