They Did What? ~ Vacation 2011

On our first full day of vacation, we started out at the BEACH!!  I can't tell you how happy that makes me!  For the past couple of years, Reagan and Cooper have hated going to the beach ~ so much so that I gave in and we spent all our time at the pool as to avoid having unnecessary tantrums.  But today, we were on the BEACH, playing in the sand, jumping waves and having a great time.  See for yourself!!

(wish you) We're Here!! - Vacation 2011

Our summer vacation for 2011 has begun!! We arrived in Hilton Head early this evening and the kids wasted no time getting into the pool swimming.  Gigi and Bubba were gracious enough to swim with them while Greg and I did the grocery shopping for the week.  Here are a few pictures from our 1st evening!

can't wait to hit the beach tomorrow (who am I kidding, the kids don't like the beach)

Cooper splashing in the pool
the kids have so much fun with Gigi and Bubba
Cooper showed off his swimming skills too
You see that?
Looks like the "frog" and the "shark" are history.  Reagan and Cooper are swimming (for the most part) by themselves.  Can't wait to see what the rest of the week has in store!!

Daddy's Day

Happy Father's Day!!  Reagan had another fun day of cooking planned for me and eating planned for Greg.  We started off with a breakfast of biscuits, eggs, and bacon.  After church we had leftover steak, shrimp and baked potatoes.  And for dinner Reagan chose spaghetti and garlic bread.  No pictures of the food, but trust me it was delicious and we were all stuffed by the end of the day!

Reagan took this picture of me and Greg~ pretty good photography skills!
Reagan had a blast planning our meals (Cooper and Greg had fun eating them!).  After we finished praying before EVERY meal, Reagan would count "1-2-3" and we would all have to yell "Happy Father's Day!"  By the end of the day, I think Reagan was ready for some attention because she asked "when will it be sister's day?"

Happy Father's Day to my dad and father-in-law ~ two of the finest men you could ever hope to meet, much less be related to!

Father's Day Eve

We started celebrating Father's Day a little early around here this year.  Reagan came up with a plan to cook Greg his favorite meal and surprise him with cupcakes.  We feasted on steak, shrimp and baked potatoes and of course cupcakes for dessert.  She wanted to hide and yell "Happy Father's day" when he walked in the room, but I told her he already knew it was father's day!  She was so excited about planning a party ~ she may have a future in that!  She and I went shopping a couple of days ago so she could plan the perfect Father's Day for Greg.

Dive Forward Rolls

At gymnastics today, Reagan's class was practicing their dive forward rolls.  Reagan yelled across the gym for me to get her on video...so I did!!
