Daddy's Day

Today is Greg's 42nd birthday. Reagan started the day off for him by singing "Happy Birthday" to him over the phone. Greg was able to get off work about an hour earlier than usual, and we had a surprise steak dinner waiting on him at home.

Reagan and Cooper made daddy a special poster

Sleeping Bag

Greg got a new sleeping bag this weekend for his upcoming Emmaus Walk. Reagan had to be the first one to try it out.

She watched cartoons like this for almost an hour
Then she decided it would be fun to have mommy get in the sleeping bag too. She even got us some pillows!

Dancing Machine

Cooper's not going to let Reagan be the only one to show off some moves ~ here he is dancing to Kenny Loggins' song, Footloose.

Wagon Walk

We're taking advantage of the great weather we've had lately and going on wagon walks around the neighborhood.

Old School

Reagan told us today that she was "old school" and a ballerina. She also said she had to wear dancing socks ~ not shoes or bare feet.

Showing off her pirouette skills
Taking a bow
She said she learned how to dance at Jesus' house ~ Go Ms. Deb!

Picnic Day

Today was picnic day at school. Reagan was so excited to finally carry her new lunch box to school. She told us exactly what she wanted to have today ~ a jelly sandwich, chips, crackers, cheese, juice and a banana

Ready for school
No picnic for Cooper, but he still looks cute as ever!

Cookie Time

Reagan has been asking to make vanilla cookies, because she apparently no longer likes chocolate. So when we went to the grocery store yesterday I let her pick out some vanilla (sugar) cookies to bake.
You always need to start with clean hands ~ washing front and back! Making sure the cookies are placed just right on the baking sheet
Time to add the sprinkles A couple of cookies got a little to much "sprinkling"
So proud of her work The finished product Enjoying the fruits of her labor Dad decided he would have some too!Cooper's contribution ~ looking cute as ever with a big smile
and getting out a few extra dishes!

Surprise Party

Last week, my friend Shawn said she, Jennifer & Carly wanted to take me out to dinner for my birthday. We planned to go out on Friday night after Greg got home. She picked me up at the house and drove to the restaurant where the ladies from my small group were waiting to surprise me. I had no idea they had all planned to come celebrate my birthday with me! It is such a joy to have such great friends who would give up a Friday night for you!

Sick Day

Cooper stayed home from school sick today. He's had a GI bug for the past 36 hours. No fun for him or me! I didn't get my 1st smile of the day until 11:30am!

Doesn't he look so sweet?
This is how we spent most of the day ~ him cuddled in my armsI loved holding him all day, I just wish he weren't sick This is how the rest of the day was spent! Hopefully the bug will be out of his system soon. I miss my little "Dozer"!

A Perfect Day...

...to fly a kite. Reagan's had this kite for about 6 months, but there has never been enough wind to keep it airborne until today. She had a great time ~ and even inspired some of the older neighborhood kids to get their kites out too!

His Mother's Son

Cooper learned how to clap his hands this week and how to make noises with his fist and his mouth. He doesn't do either one very long because he laughs at himself ~ Like Mother, Like Son!
