Stitches and a Splint

Greg went back to the doctor today for his 2 week post surgery check up, to get his stitches out, and to get a splint made for wear in the evenings. Everyone was pleased with his progress and how well the wounds look.

Not too bad for 2 weeks
This lovely contraption was hand made with care by Paula

Greg goes back to the doctor in 2 1/2 weeks for what we hope is his final visit!

Labor Day

We had a great Labor Day weekend, just being home and spending quality time together (although I had to clean the house this weekend ~ it was in desperate need of cleaning!) Reagan and Cooper actually played together this morning for the first time. Cooper was so excited Reagan was paying attention to him, he could hardly stand it!

Off to the Jeep races again today!
Gigi & Bubba came over to spend the night and to help mow the grass (hopefully, the next time the grass needs mowing, Greg's hand will be healed enough to do it himself). Thanks for helping us out! Reagan has become fascinated with ants lately. She says they tickle her when they crawl on her.
She's showing me her ant
Silly smile
She put her ant in the bowl to watch it crawl around
Never too young to learn how to make homemade ice cream!
He loved putting ice around the cylinder
Labor Day cookout
Reagan's ready to eat!
The family enjoying a delicious (if I do say so myself) meal
No cookout is complete at the Sandidge house without ice cream
So, he ate a little off the table...
I love the look on his face in this picture ~ what you talkin' bout Bubba?
Reagan put Butterfinger sprinkles on her ice cream

And They're Off

Just a few fun photos from our Sunday

Reagan and Cooper realized they had matching Jeeps!
On your mark...
they raced around the house with their Jeeps for quite a while this afternoon
Reagan was done, but Cooper still wants to play
If he played with the baby princess, would that get Reagan's attention?
Reagan wasn't phased, she played ball with daddy & mommy...& Cooper when he put the babies down
the men getting ready to watch the race
Like father, like son
Ending the day with a smile!

The Weekend Begins

So, it's Saturday and as usual, we had our family date at the IHOP. We then headed to the mall to get "light jackets" for the kids to wear to school for these cool mornings that we've been having recently. Of course, now that I've bought jackets the temperature is certain to spike back up to the 100's! We stopped by the play area at the mall where Reagan and Cooper had a blast and were able to run off some energy!

Sitting outside the IHOP
Cooper looked comfortable, so Reagan thought she'd pull up some concrete too! My breakfast was delicious, how 'bout yours?
I can just imagine this same scene 12 years from now!
Climbing anything and everything!
Can you see me?
Beep, beep!
Look, it's Bo Duke from the Dukes of Hazzard
He's soo cool! Can't you see him in 15 years?
Meet Daisy Duke!

On the Winner's Trophy
So precious

Humpty Dumpty

Reagan's class has been learning nursery rhymes for the past several weeks and will continue to do so for the next 6 weeks. This week, their lesson was on Humpty Dumpty and all things related to eggs. Reagan learned the Nursery Rhyme (but unfortunately, my computer won't allow video uploads) and is quick to recite it for anyone who will listen!

Her homework was to draw and color 3 eggs...here's her finished product
On Friday, each child made their own personal Humpty Dumpty

SpiderBoy

You can't leave him alone ~ not even for one minute. I was talking on the phone today and walked in the living room to find this...

Where did he learn to climb on the outside of the stairs?
Yes, he did stop and say "cheese"
Hmmm, wonder what he'll be for Halloween?
Oh wait, he can go higher
And here's a picture of Reagan because she's so cute!

Looking Good

One week after surgery, and Greg's hand is much improved. Still a long ways to go, but progress is being made.

A Little Celebration

In honor of Cooper's 21 month birthday today, I made homemade doughnuts!!! Truth be told, we really just wanted some doughnuts and thought of a reason to have them! They were delicious and the whole family enjoyed them. Cooper ate the doughnuts holes (8 of them) and kept asking for more! Reagan ate 1 1/2 large doughnuts and still wanted more. That makes a mama's heart happy!

My 1st attempt at homemade doughnuts
Happy 21 month birthday to me!
He's loving the dessert in his honor
Reagan was glad it was a special day too
