Cooper's Class's Christmas

This afternoon, Cooper's class had their Christmas party. Ms C read 'Twas the Night Before Christmas' and we had cookies and milk for a snack.

Cooper sat in my lap during story time ~ he hadn't had a long enough nap!

Kindergarten Christmas

Today, Reagan's class had their Christmas party. All the kids made reindeer antlers, munched on cupcakes & juice and exchanged gifts.

A Christmas Miracle!

Look what Reagan got to make in school ~ a nativity scene! She named the stable, Joseph, Mary, Baby Jesus and the Star of Bethlehem. I was so pleased to see this in her folder tonight!

A Hairy Situation

It's no secret that Reagan loves crafts. She has recently began using scissors to cut out her creations. Tonight, she used the scissors to craft Cooper a new design in his hair.

Can you see the gashes?
Bless his heart!
glad we already had the Christmas card photos taken!
She also discovered a new way to wear headbands!

Wintry Mix

As we left our Sunday dinner this afternoon, it turned from rain to sleet to snow. The kids were more than excited to see snow ~ especially mixed in with Christmas decorations.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
They couldn't resist playing in the snow

Long Time, No See

Today after church, we had lunch with our friends Beth and Tim. They invited anyone who had ever been part of their life group to enjoy Christmas dinner with them. We were a part of their life group when we first moved to Hickory and have remained friends all these years. Even though we may not see each other as often as we would like, it's great to have friends that you know you can count on no matter what!

After lunch and a little playing, Cooper climbed up in my arms (with his "packpack") and took his 2 1/2 hour nap! It's not often that he wants to sit in my lap, so I enjoyed every minute of it!

Our Christmas Tree 2010

Here are a couple of photos of our Christmas Trees, yes plural, for 2010. Reagan has her very own pink tree in her room this year!

Winter Time

While it wasn't much, we did have our first snowfall of the year today. And as we watched the snow fall, we decorated our tree.

can you see the snow?
Reagan was so excited to help decorate the tree this year
She hung each ornament with care
So proud of her work

Why is it so hard to get a natural smile out of her?
When Cooper woke from his nap, he was ready to inspect the tree
"Looks good Reagan"
Here's a little video of the snow falling
