Christmas Eve Preparations

We had a lot to do today to get ready for Christmas...

Reagan brought this poem home from school...
and every night, we put on a piece of Santa's beard ~ today was the last day!
We made some cookies for Santa ~ White Chocolate Cranberry Cookies...from scratch
Reagan loves to help me bake
adding the cranberries
licking the beaters
Mom and Reagan in the kitchen
tasting her creations
Cooper enjoyed them too (he went to work with daddy this morning, but was glad to have a treat when he came home!)
While Cooper was napping, Reagan made Santa some sugar cookies...again, from scratch
rolling out the dough to just the right size
using Christmas shaped cookie cutters

Love, love, love this girl!
she can't wait for them to be ready

icing the cookies

adding the sprinkles
making sure the icing is ok to eat!
I love to watch these hands work
When we got home from our Christmas Eve service at church, Reagan set out some Reindeer Food she had made at school and some water for Santa's Reindeer
Cooper was there to supervise!

Cooper helped out with the milk

Great Answer

In school last week, Reagan was asked to write a sentence about what she liked about Christmas. She then needed to illustrate that sentence. Here is her answer...

"I like to celebrate Jesus birthday"

A Camping We Will Go

School's out for both Reagan and Cooper, so winter camp begins. This year, Cooper is eligible to go to gymnastics camp for a half day. They were both excited that they both get to go to camp.

Who wants to go to camp?
"Yeah"
When did he get so grown up?
so sweet

all packed and ready to go
walking in to camp

One last picture before the day begins.
Cooper was ready for his camp debut. He kept saying, "You go home now. You can leave! Bye mom, you go now!"

Gingerbread Decorating

This afternoon, we had our annual gingerbread decorating event. This year, Cooper got to join in on the fun. He decorated a gingerbread train and Reagan decorated the gingerbread house.

Last Class

Reagan had her last gymnastics class of the year this morning. She loves gymnastics and has improved so much in the past few months!

doing splits

working on her form

balance, balance

My picture taking was cut short by a certain 3 year old boy who was busy jumping on the trampoline during Reagan's class!
