Saturday with Gigi and Bubba

Gigi and Bubba came for a visit this weekend, so we made good use of their time here.  The kids woke them up bright and early at 6am to start playing!

A day wouldn't be complete without riding bikes.  Reagan and Cooper wanted to show off their skills!
Daddy decided to join in on the fun and ride his bike too
taking a break from all the fun
After dinner, we headed to the back yard for some more fun.  Reagan showed us all how to hula hoop
 Cooper played basketball
 a shooting contest ensued
 playing catch with  Gigi
Reagan wore this princess crown ALL DAY
 she got the giggles
the picture is a little fuzzy, but the boy is still super cute!
After playing in the back yard, we met our Bible study group at Rita's, but Reagan and Cooper would rather spend time with Bubba!
Bubba finally noticed Cooper sneaking some of his custard

Party at the Park

Reagan and Cooper were invited to a friend's birthday party at a local park this afternoon.  They had a great time and were so happy to be playing outside after all the rain we've had lately.

Rainy Days

It's been raining here for a few days and the kids are anxious to get outside.  So, after school I let them play in the rain for a few minutes.

Reagan opted for the dry of the garage instead!

Happy Birthday Kim

Happy Birthday Aunt Kim!  Reagan wanted to send you a birthday cake in the mail, but we opted for a video message instead (they're a little distracted ~ cartoons were on in the background!).

Starting Over

The class of 2023 at Reagan's school is large.  So large that they've been approved to have an additional teacher for this year ~ which will take each class from 24 students down to 18.  Reagan was one of the kids chosen to move to the new teacher's class.  Tonight, we had a meet and greet with Ms. R and got to see all of the kids who will now be Reagan's classmates for this year.

Reagan took a small gift to Ms R to welcome her to the school
Reagan has done so well thus far this year, we're just praying that this move and new teacher are the right fit for her and will make her first grade year incredible!

Masterpieces

Since we've done a mini makeover to our house (new paint, new slipcovers, bedding and accessories), I've been trying to find just the right paintings to hang on the wall.  I couldn't find anything that I just "loved".  So, I decided to have the kids make us one-of-a-kind paintings.

I couldn't be more pleased with my one-of-a-kind originals!!

Words and Wheels

Reagan won a medal at school for completing her Dolche words on the giraffe list.  It was also "spirit night" at Jason's Deli, so we went out as a family to eat and saw many of Reagan's friends from school.    When we got home, the kids went for a little bike ride to finish off the evening.
