Mother's Day Tea-Ball

Today was an exciting day for both Reagan and Cooper.  The first grade at Reagan's school hosted a Mother's Day Tea for all of the moms.  We were treated to breakfast and a sweet program from the kids.  Cooper had a ballgame this afternoon and had an awesome game ~ he had 2 great hits and fielded all but 4 of the balls from the other team.

Cooper took a few pictures of Reagan and I this morning...
 this one is better!
Cooper wanted to have his picture made too.  Notice we're all in orange ~ Reagan coordinated all of our outfits!
 my date for the morning
Each child wrote a poem about their mom and read it aloud in front of their classmates & guests.
Needless to say, there weren't a lot of dry eyes in the room when all of the kids had finished reading about their moms!
MY MOM:
My mom is nice because she does a lot of things. She cooks me food; she tucks me into bed; she is the best mom I could ever have. She is nice to me.
our breakfast:  biscuits & jelly and apple bites ~ compliments of the cafeteria

I wasn't able to get a lot of really good pictures at the ballgame tonight because they played on a different field where my camera angle was obstructed by the fence
 on deck
 ready to bat
 on 1st base
He hit this ball all the way to the grass!

Season's End

Tonight was the end of Reagan's 2012 soccer season.  A local restaurant provided a BBQ for all of the families as a celebration of the season.  Reagan had a great year playing soccer and she was sad to see it end.

Reagan wore a headband to school today and Cooper wanted to be "just like Reagan"!
Reagan's new "trick" is picking Cooper up and carrying him across the room
Cooper enjoyed his hot dog at the BBQ
Reagan was not into pictures tonight
 Go Blaze!
 in the mix of things
 Go Reagan
It was a good game, but the Blaze was handed their 3rd loss of the year 3-2 ~ our coach's daughter scored one for the other team:(
after the game, Coach Matt handed out awards and trophies
Reagan received the "Most Spirited Player" award.  Her coach said she was always in a good mood and was always cheering on and encouraging her team.
 checking out her certificate
 just precious
Reagan gave her coach a card ~ she wrote on the inside that he was "the best coach a girl could ever have".
 Most Spirited ~ Reagan
I think her cheeks hurt from smiling about her awards!

Playing in the Rain

Back on the field for another soccer game tonight!

Reagan played the best she's played this season
 ...and then came the rain
 and more rain
but that didn't stop them from playing
or winning ~ the Blaze won 2-1
still smiling even though she's soaking wet

Manic Monday

Two kids + two sports + two hours = one tired mom!  Reagan's soccer team had a make up game tonight and Cooper had t-ball practice back to back.

warming up
Cooper found a nice shady spot under a tree to play his video game
 getting in some good kicks
it was a good game, but the Blaze was not victorious
 fielding practice
 batting practice

The Announcement

Every year, I send out an announcement after each of the kids' birthdays.  This is Reagan's announcement for her 7th birthday.
