Happy, Happy Birthday to Me!

Today is my 41st birthday!!  I was lucky enough to get to spend yesterday with my sister (whose birthday was last Sunday).  We got massages & pedicures, and then had dinner with our husbands (the guys played golf while we were being pampered).
the only picture of the spa day
Red Velvet cake - my favorite - Greg really knows me!
we cut into the cake on Saturday, but the kids wanted to sing Happy Birthday today!
Cooper is the official birthday singer!

Skating Practice

Back on the ice for another afternoon of skating practice.  Skills evaluations are next week, so we stayed for a little extra practice today!

Too Soon

As I was driving around town for work today, I noticed they've already started hanging the Christmas lights on the street.

Sunday Lunch

To earn one of her Girl Scout badges, Reagan had to "interview" a woman other than her mother to learn about some of the roles she has in life.  Reagan chose to interview Gigi. She learned what Gigi thought she wanted to be when she grew up, what her favorite role has been and other fun stuff that she didn't know.
we also had to include a picture of the interviewer and interviewee!

Saturday Fun

As usual, another busy Saturday for the family.
The day started with Cooper's soccer game
Cooper played hard, but his team lost.
After the soccer game, Cooper and I headed to Dollywood to ride a few coasters!
riding the tram into the park

Meanwhile, Reagan and Greg stayed home and went to the movies.  They saw Dolphin Tale 2

waiting in line for the last ride of the day...Fire Chaser Express
 goofy boy!
I asked some teenager to take our picture...she didn't seem real thrilled, but at least she did it!
What a fun but tiring day!

Pictures, Preying & Pirates

Today was a busy day in the Sandidge house - school pictures, feeding the preying mantis and national "talk like a pirate day".
so handsome
Cooper said he was the most handsome boy in his class!

When I picked the kids up from after school, Reagan had found a grasshopper that she said would be perfect to give to the preying mantis.  So, I caught the grasshopper and carried it home for the mantis' dinner.
it must have been super-yummy
the kids enjoyed the "epic battle"
I have much better, longer, more graphic videos...but they're too large to upload

Today was national "Talk Like a Pirate" Day and in honor of that, Krispy Kreme was giving away a dozen donuts if you came dressed like a pirate.  One family in our small group did and brought 4 dozen donuts to our Bible study!!
Arrgh!  These are so delicious!
