Happy Birthday Megan

My niece Megan turns 19 years old today. So hard to believe ~ I was a junior in high school when she was born!! In honor of her, here are a few pictures of Reagan and Cooper.

Mom: Who wants to say happy birthday to Megan?
Kids: Huh?
Mom: Who wants to wish Megan a happy birthday?
Reagan: I do!Mom: Who else wants to wish Megan a happy birthday?
Cooper: I do, I do!
Hope you have a wonderful birthday!

Sunday Fun

Reagan and I do our baking/cooking on Sunday afternoons and today was no different. Except the baking turned out horribly and we had to throw much of it away...

Such a good helper
Making sure it's mixed to perfection
Quality control is her favorite job
Making sure the toothpick comes out clean
The cake was supposed to have turned out like this (but it didn't. It tasted good, it just wouldn't stay together for the icing). We did have enough batter to make some extra cupcakes, so all was not lost!
After dinner, we all needed some fresh air after 3 days of rain

Cooper decided he would rather ride in the wagon than walk!
Every few steps, Reagan would stop and mark her spot with sidewalk chalk
He doesn't understand why a 10 minute walk has turned into a 30 minute walk ~ welcome to life with Reagan!!
To speed things up, Reagan got in the wagon too and she and Cooper had fun playing ball while being pulled around the neighborhood
I think it's about time for Cooper to get a haircut
Throwing the ball to Cooper
She caught it!!

Another Saturday Date

It was time once again for the weekly daddy/daughter date day ~ and of course Reagan was excited to go eat pancakes!

All ready to go
Cooper on the other hand, stayed home and did his chores! He makes the messes then helps clean them up
I think Cooper's getting the raw end of the deal on Saturday mornings, but he doesn't seem to be too upset!

One Last Warm Day

Today the temperature reached 84 degrees, but tomorrow, the high is expected to be around 50 and probably raining for the rest of the week and the weekend! We had to take advantage of this beautiful weather. So after dinner, we went on a walk (or ride) around the neighborhood.

So happy to be in the car and on her bike
After we finished with the bike ride, Reagan wanted to take baby Julie and baby Judy on a walk
Cooper just wanted to run free!
Cooper facing off with the dog. He stood here for about 10minutes babbling and pointing to the dog
Playing basketball with Savannah
Cooper played some hoops too! Look at the smile on his face!
Can I make that shot from way down here?
Running toward the goal
What's wrong with these next two pictures?

Miscellaneous Monday

Today was the 1st day Cooper wore shorts to school ~ isn't he cute?
when I started taking pictures, he sat down and started posing for me
Finally, a picture of both of them together!
Another sweet photo!
My sweet friend Robyn gave this T-shirt to me as a shower gift almost 4 years ago!
Along with shorts came Cooper's 1st scrape of the season ~ stay tuned, I'm sure they'll be many more!

What a Difference 4 Days Makes

WARNING...extremely long post with lots of pictures.

Remember Monday when there was 4 inches of snow on the ground and 30 degrees for the high?
Fast forward to Saturday, it is sunny beautiful and 77 degrees!! You've got to love the seasons in North Carolina!!! We made the most of our day and the weather by playing outside and going to the park.

Rolling the ball to each other up and down the slide So happy to be outside
Reagan said she was making us drinks for the hot summer day
Helping Reagan with the "drinks"
So much fun!!!
Reagan always keeps her eye on Cooper to make sure he's not playing with anything of hers!
Listen to Reagan's description of today..
Water...all to himselfNotice Cooper trying to drink the water
Cooper got his dump truck and sat in it until someone pushed him around the yard
Playing outside isn't complete without the Secret Garden
After naps, we headed to the park for more fun in the sun
Swings are always a hit
Getting ready to slide
Cooper made his way into the tunnelWhee! Reagan said she was driving to Chuck E Cheese
Practicing his climbing skills
Cooper had the most fun running free
Trying to get both of them in the same picture
Going down the big slide
Caught her in the tunnel
More time to swing
Watch Me
Yeah ~ Cooper made it up the steps
Again, trying to get a picture of them together
Reagan helping Cooper off the slide
Our last stop of the day was the grocery store. Reagan was a big help with the list
