Happy Thanksgiving 2010

This is how we spent our day...

Cooper decided he would cook since I wasn't!

Reagan spent most of the day doing artwork

Cooper practiced being the "Birthday Prince" (pretend it's a crown and not a tiara!)
they spent a little time loving on each other
We went to Cracker Barrel for Thanksgiving dinner (and so did most of the city!). We passed the time by rocking

being silly
being sweet!
having fun
For dinner, Cooper and Reagan chose the traditional dinner of...pancakes!!

the last activity of the day...watching a cartoon before bed

Spectacular Sunshine-y Day

School's out and the weather's great ~ so we spent most of our day outside!!

Enjoying a sucker after getting a flu "sniff"
Of course, we had to go for a stroll around the neighborhood with the mower

using their balance
the grass is a little wet
time for a little work in the back yard
showing me the dirt on his fingers

I'm strong!

a glass of refreshing lemonade
A friendly game of basketball
she shoots, she scores!
in the hoop for 2!

Cooper's going the wrong way in the basket

action shot! slam dunk

moving on to the sandbox

They loved to watch the ladybugs crawl
getting a closer look
Reagan let ladybugs crawl on her hand

Turkey Time

One of Cooper's teachers brought in a stuffed turkey that her father had shot. The kids loved it so much she had to take it back home the same day for fear it wouldn't have any feathers left!! She was kind enough to send me a picture of Cooper petting the turkey!

Saturday Fun

When Reagan and I returned home from her gymnastics class today, we found Daddy and Cooper working in the yard. We then had a family picnic and played outside before doing a little more yard work.

Cooper helping blow leaves to the bottom of the yard

This is hard work!
Reagan wanted a chance to use the blower too.

Time for lunch

Daddy read us a lunch time story
Fun family time
The kids had a great time jumping in the leaves they had blown/raked up
whee!

look at the expressions on their faces ~ the difference in boys and girls

laughing at her silly brother!
the leaves got down Cooper's shirt, so he decided to go shirtless

Reagan was very timid about jumping in the leaves, she didn't want to get dirty!

Cooper even had fun just running in the leaves
Clean up, clean up, everybody do their job
We went to dinner at Reagan's favorite restaurant "Salad Garden"
waiting to be seated

Reagan brought a coloring book with her and she is very particular about her colors!
