Hit the Road!

We left the hotel this morning headed to Florida.  The kids had their pillows and blankets ready to go!!

 

When we arrived at our destination, the kids hit the pool and the ocean (supervised by Gigi and Bubba) while Greg and I had a date night and went grocery shopping for the week; therefore, there are no pictures of our first night on vacation!

We decided to drive part of the way to Florida tonight and stay in a hotel to break up the 10 hour drive.  When we got to the hotel, the kids got their second wind!!  You would've thought the kids had never stayed in a hotel before!!

Kindergarten Screening



Today was the start of a new journey for Cooper!  He had to go for his kindergarten screening at his school.  I signed him in, took him to his color group, wished him luck, kissed him and then had to leave.  He said he was "a little nervous and his belly felt weird", but when I picked him up 45 minutes later he was skipping and jumping around!!  Only 2 1/2 weeks to go until school starts!

Non-Stop Saturday

Today was a busy, busy day.  We started the morning with Cooper going to work with Daddy & Bubba, pedicures for Reagan & me, a birthday party at the zoo, a stop at the zoo's splash pad, a visit to the bookstore, and then finally family movie night.  Whew~I'm tired all over again!

 the zoo brought a chinchilla in to the party area for the kids to learn about and pet

 after the party, we walked around the zoo and ended up at the splash pad

 snack time is a must for these two!

 on the way home, we stopped at the bookstore to pick up some new reading material for vacation

And finally, we watched the original Karate Kid while we ate pizza, spaghetti and ice cream!



Kid Rave Pool Party

The Kid Rave Worship group held a summer celebration pool party for the Kid Raver's and their families.  We had a cook-out, but the kids spent most of the time in the pool!
