Football and Swimming Friday

It's Friday, so that means it's time to break out the orange to support our favorite team.
the kids looked so cute in their orange
Tonight, instead of having our regular Bible study group, we decided to have an end of summer/back to school pool party.  The kids swam until almost 10pm and the adults could have talked all night!

2014 Level Up Party

After the 2nd service this morning, our church held its annual Level Up (Back to School) party for all of the kids.  They served hot dogs & ice cream and had lots of activities available for everyone.
Cooper was in the mood to have his picture taken today ~ Reagan, not so much!

Family Fun Day and Night

This was our last Saturday without anything scheduled, so we decided to make the most of it!  We ate a late breakfast at a local restaurant, Tupelo Honey, and then hit up the farmer's market downtown.
the kids had fun playing with some of the goods for sale
Next, we enjoyed a movie - the boys saw Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, while the girls watched Island of Lemurs in 3D
We then went shopping for Greg some new clothes for his new job!! Then, we met Kim and Byrd for dinner at our favorite mexican restaurant (no pictures~it was waay too dark in there!).  As if our bellies weren't full enough, we tested out a new (to us) ice cream shop in town.  Kim, Byrd and I had Krispy Kreme Doughnut ice cream~and it tastes as amazing as it sounds!!
Sadly, our time with Kim & Byrd ended too soon...but, we promised to get together again soon!

Moving on Up to Basic 3

Reagan's first lesson in the Basic Skills 3 class was today.  She is enjoying ice skating so much.  And, I can't believe how much she's learned in such a short amount of time.

Family Day

We're trying to get the most out of summer and out of our season passes to Splash Country!  Since the park only has 3 more weekends left in the season, we decided to go one more time!  The kids had a great time and we rode almost every ride in the park!
someone had too much fun!
Cooper asked me to take a picture of his cross-eyed face!

Junior Scout Meeting

Reagan's Girl Scout Troop wasted no time getting back into the swing of things this year.  Today was the first official meeting for the girls who are now Junior Scouts!  The troop has a new parent-leader this year, and I think it will be their best year yet.  There are already some great things planned!

No Jitters

Cooper was super cool about going to school this morning!  He wanted me to walk with him to his class so he could show me that he remembered how to get there!  He did great!  Not one misstep!
