Happy Birthday to Reagan (Again)

Reagan doesn't have a birthday day, she has a birthday month!! The trampoline Greg and I had ordered for Reagan's birthday was defective, so we were unable to give her a gift at her birthday party last week. I was hoping the replacement legs would come in time for her actual birthday, but... The legs came yesterday and Greg and I put the trampoline together while she was napping today (what suprise are we going to bribe her with next week to try and get her to take a nap?) She really seems to enjoy jumping on her own trampoline. Although, at first she took 3 bounces and wanted to color (my heart just sank!), but in no time, she was back jumping again, and even wanted to eat her dinner on it!

Checking out the bounce
Getting some good air
They must have one of these in her tumbling class because she was getting her legs in all sorts of positions. Future cheerleader????
I think she's happy with the final birthday present of her 3rd birthday!

Sweet Baby Cooper

Cooper having some tummy time. Well, come to think of it, most of his time is tummy time. But since he learned to roll over, he rarely lays on his back. He must be getting more teeth, because he gnaws on anything he can get his cute little hands on.
Isn't this the sweetest smile?
Here's a sweet little video of Cooper laughing at Greg hitting his hands on the floor. It's the simple things in life that make him so happy!

Paging Dr Reagan

When Reagan got up this morning, she told me her monkey was sick and needed to see the doctor. Later in the morning, she came downstairs with her stethoscope, thermometer and a shot. She told the monkey she was sorry he didn't feel good and she needed to listen to his heart. Greg and I hope this is a sign of her future career and an early retirement for us!

If you look really close, you can see her giving the monkey a shot
Here, she's listening to the monkey's heart with a stethoscope that is bigger than the monkey!

All Boy

Cooper's got being a boy down already. Greg is so proud that he knows how to sit in a chair like a man!!

Week of the Young Child

This week at Reagan and Cooper's school, they're celebrating the Week of the Young Child. Everyday has a different theme. Monday, each class decorated a banner to hang in the hallway. Tuesday was hat day. Wednesday, they got to wear their pjs to school. On Thursday, the kids all wore tacky clothes and Friday will be a picnic lunch. Reagan really liked getting her picture made in each of her "costumes" every morning. Cooper, well, he tolerated the pictures!!

Hat day...aren't they cute!
Reagan thought it was so cool to be able to wear her pjs to school on her birthday and it was tumbling day too!
Tacky Day ~ you should have seen the looks I got from the college kids taking them into school. I'm sure they thought, those poor kids have parents who don't know how to match their clothes.

Reagan Turns 3

We took Reagan to Chuck E Cheese to celebrate her 3rd birthday. After some pizza (her favorite food group), we played games and had a great time!

Reagan eating her birthday pizza
The whole family posed for a picture painted by Chuck E Cheese
Reagan decided to try Skee-Ball
She was getting points one way or another!
On a ride with Chuck E Cheese
Playing games and having fun
Even Cooper got in on the action
Picking out her prize

What a fun day!!

Cooper's Blessed

We had Cooper dedicated at church on Sunday (actually, the pastor says you dedicate buildings and you ask God to bless babies). We were so fortunate to have both sets of grandparents, our entire small group and Cooper's "Boxcar Babies" teacher stand up in front of the church with us as we promised to raise Cooper according to God's plan, teach him about Jesus and help him to know Jesus as his personal savior.

Cooper in his new outfit for church. Dad hated the outfit by the way, but Cooper was the most handsome boy at church!
Pastor Tom holding Cooper telling the congregation how we are to raise and love this baby Pastor Tom praying the sweetest, most heart-felt prayer for God's blessing on Cooper's life
Pastor Tom did a great job!

Rock and Roll

Not to be outdone by Reagan on her birthday party weekend, Cooper decided this would be a great time to roll over from his back to his front for the 1st time. He wanted to show his grandparents what a big boy he is, so he broke out all the tricks! He's been rolling over from his belly to his back for about 2 months, but now he's got the skill mastered both ways! Won't be long before he's crawling.....

A Major Breakthrough

Cooper got his 1st tooth on Friday, April 18th. It is as sharp as a razor blade. So now, he would rather chew on someone else's hand than his own.

Thank You

Reagan wanted to send a thank you to everyone for all of her birthday presents!

Reagan's 3rd Birthday Party

Reagan had her 3rd birthday party on Saturday. We celebrated with a Curious George theme and were so glad to have many of her friends come to help her celebrate the big event.

Reagan all ready for the party in her party hat
She even donned some sunglasses for the occasion
She wasn't too excited about wearing the George mask, although she wanted everyone else to put theirs on.
Eating pizza with her friends Anah & Sera
Opening some gifts...although she didn't spend much time on each gift, I know she's thankful for every gift she received and when she's not under pressure and in the spotlight, I'm sure she'll take more time to look at all her gifts this week.
She even got a movie about Curious George
At least she took the time to read her cards!
This is the backpack Reagan got from her Aunt Kim & Uncle Byrd
Are there any more gifts???
Reagan's great grandfather made her this potty chair. He's 82 years old and still woodworking. Reagan really liked her potty...so much so, she christened (and I do mean christened) the potty in the living room in front of all her guests!!
Eating her birthday cupcake. We had to light the candle 3 times so she could blow it out and we could all sing for her.
All smiles at the end of the party!! It was a great day!

Video is back

This is a video from a few weeks ago, but I've not been able to upload in quite a while. I was just testing the waters to see if the video portion would work again...and it does, so be on the look out for more videos of Reagan and Cooper.

My Little Man

This is Cooper's first attempt at sitting up. He "sat" here for a few seconds and then did a nose dive into the bed. Not bad for a 4-month old.

Jump, Jump

Reagan loves to jump on our bed and look at herself in the mirror! Greg & I are getting her a mini trampoline for her birthday (hope she can't read this!) to try and save our mattress. But the way things look, I guess we're going to have to get her a full length mirror too!!

The Party Before the Party

Reagan was supposed to be taking a nap, but when I when to get her up, this is what I found. She had found her keepsakes under her bed from her first two birthday parties and decided to throw herself a little party instead of taking a nap.

Reagan is trying to blow up balloons for her naptime party Reagan put a party hat on Cooper and they were having some "cake"
Cooper is fascinated by the hat on Reagan's head
He loved the naptime party and can't wait for the real one next week!
Reagan said her baby, Judy, was being a bad girl and was in time-out, so she couldn't come to the party

Cereal Time

Cooper had his 1st taste of cereal yesterday. As you can see from the picture, he really enjoyed it. He couldn't swallow for smiling so big!
Not too bad for his 1st try at eating with a spoon.

Sunday Smiles

Reagan and Cooper all smiles before going to Jesus' house Sunday. It's rare that I can get a picture with both of them smiling!!

Cooper's 1st Day of School

The day is finally here...I go back to work on Monday, so Cooper started school today (he only went for 3 hours, but it felt like an eternity). Things went pretty smooth this morning getting 2 kids ready until I got less than a mile from the school and Greg called telling me I had left Cooper's bottle in the refrigerator!! Oh well, that's why today and tomorrow are practice days!

Cooper all ready for his 1st day of school
Reagan said she would show Cooper the ropes at school
Cooper's teachers told me that Reagan came down to his room to check on him twice in less than 3 hours. She's such a great big sister. (She informed us last night that she's not a big sister, she's a princess)
