Kindergarten Awards Day

Reagan's class had their awards day program this morning.  The kids sang a few songs and were each presented with an award that best suited them!

She wasn't in the mood for having her picture made today
Reagan's turn to receive her awards
She LOVES Ms A
Reagan received the "Most Inquisitive" award
She also received the "Super Speller" award
Ms A gave each child pictures so they would never forget kindergarten
Next, the kids sang "You Are My Sunshine"
Then, they sang "Slip Sliding Away"

I received a special gift from the kids ~ I volunteered most Fridays to help the kids with reading.  They signed this poem in their "very best handwriting"
The teachers gave me this charm bracelet for my help.
Reagan has had a fantastic year and will certainly miss Ms A next year.

Fun Meet 2011

Reagan's gymnastics club held its annual Fun Meet this afternoon.  This gives the kids in the rec classes a chance to show their skills off in a real gymnastics meet setting.  Reagan did a fantastic job.  Here are a few pictures.  If you would like to see video, just ask, I'll be more than happy to show it to you!

Walking into the gymnasium
the nerves are getting to her!
chalking up for the bars

Mounting the bar with a back pull over
front support
skin-the-cat dismount
Cooper not only sucks his thumb and index finger, but now he's discovered tags ~ on shirts, blankets, towels, you name it
He doesn't care to show his belly either

the meet is over!
My sweet gymnast!!
here is the certificate she received

after the meet, they held tryouts for the team (no pictures).  Reagan did an excellent job ~ as I knew she would!
Update:  they called Monday and invited Reagan to be part of the team.  Now it's up to her to decide if that is something she wants to do (2 hour practices, 2 days per week)

Too Bad We Don't Keep Score!

Reagan had her next to the last (unless there is a rain out Thursday) soccer game tonight. They played the only team that has beaten them...and beaten them twice. But not tonight, the Blue Marlins played hard and won the game ~ if we kept score!!

Here is Reagan's soccer picture for the season

Going for the ball

taking a breather!
Reagan did great on defense tonight
Go Blue Marlins
Kicking the ball in
More defensive play
Go Blue Marlins!
Good job from Coach M
Reagan receiving her trophy
She is so proud
Her season was made when she got the trophy
While Reagan was playing soccer, Cooper was....collecting rocks!

When we got home from the game, we played outside for a little while

More soccer for Reagan
practice makes perfect
Cooper loves to blow bubbles

Trying out some features on my new camera
How cool is that?

Cooper wanted to get in on the soccer action too!

Back to the bubbles!
More soccer
She shoots, she scores!
Go Cooper!

Then, it was time for baths, books and bed. We'll do it all again tomorrow night~except with T-ball!
