Play Time

Sunday afternoon, we all got outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather of the weekend (because next week, they're calling for temps about 25 degrees cooler).

taking a stroll in the grass
Having a snack outside Daddy and his shadow
Daddy and his little helper
He can rake with one hand and use a shovel with the other!!
Watching the neighbor's dog
Reagan had enough of the outdoors and wanted to come help me cook spaghetti
After dinner we went on a wagon walk around the neighborhood. (not the most flattering picture of me, but I wanted to prove that the kids do have a mom!)

Strawberry Banana Shortcake

This entire weekend, Reagan has been asking to make a strawberry banana shortcake. Not sure where she came up with the idea, but that's all she has wanted to make all weekend. Yesterday while we were grocery shopping we bought a pound cake mix, strawberries, bananas and Cool Whip. Today was her lucky day ~ let the baking begin.

As always, hand washing is a must
Showing me that the recipe calls for 2 eggs Pouring in the milk
Mixing the batter
Getting ready for her favorite part...quality control
mmm, mmm good
The finished product ~ pretty good if we do say so ourselves!
I was lamenting the fact that Reagan is growing up way to quickly and here is the conversation that followed:
Reagan: Let's measure how tall I am (she likes to stand beside me to see how tall she is compared to me)
Mom: You're getting way too tall
Reagan: Are you happy?
Mom: No, I'm sad that you're growing up
Reagan: Don't be sad, be happy. Let me grow, don't worry about me

Sunday Sweeties

Just a couple of pictures of Reagan and Cooper after church on Sunday.
My precious big girl
Blowing kisses as he walks
After church Reagan, Greg and I had a cute conversation:
Mom & Dad: what did you learn about in your class today?
Reagan: I can't remember
Mom & Dad: Did you learn something about palms?
Reagan: No, leaves
Mom & Dad: What did you learn about leaves
Reagan: The people put them on the ground
Mom & Dad: Why did they put them on the ground ~ who was going to walk on them?
Reagan: Jesus. And we say, "Hosanna, Hosanna, yeah Jesus!"

Saturday of Shopping

Sadly, there was no daddy/daughter date today. I had a hair appointment that was not to be missed!! I cooked breakfast at home and then went to enjoy a couple of hours at the salon. After naps (well, Cooper napped at least) we went on a little shopping adventure.

So excited to be shopping (actually he lost sight of his daddy and he was not happy)
Reagan's turn in the buggyThe moment she's been waiting for...buying her princess party supplies
Can't decide what all she should buy
3 weeks and counting!!
Daddy and Cooper trying to find something in the party store
Camouflage ~ about as far away from princesses as you can get!
Ending the day on a high note
Can we go party now?

Up, Up and Away

Another windy day, another great day to fly a kite!

Reagan got a new Mickey Mouse Clubhouse kite

Cooper took over flying the Tigger and Pooh kite
Look how high my kite is!
Cooper had enough of kite flying and decided to go for a walk
After kite flying, we went for a wagon ride around the neighborhood

Her Bath

Another chance for bath time photos!

Showing me her boo-boo is all gone
Reagan has discovered "reading" while going to the potty. Listen to what she reads!!!!

His Bath

We haven't had bath shots in awhile and tonight was the perfect opportunity!
Such a silly boy!
I just knew he was going to hit his head and break another tooth!

Doctor Visit

Today we were supposed to have gone to the doctor for Cooper's 15 month well child check, but when we got there, Dr Brooks said Cooper didn't look like he felt good so today would be a sick child visit ~ make that 2 sick child visits. Reagan has had a cough and runny nose for about 5 days, so why not check her out while were at the doctor's office, right? We'll go back next week for the well child visit and shots!! By the way, Cooper weighs in at 26.2 pounds and is 2'8" tall. Reagan weighs 33.8 pounds. We'll see how much weight Cooper can gain in a week!!

In the waiting room, waiting for our names to be called and having a snack
Reagan asked for a purple balloon for her, Cooper a white one, mommy got green and daddy got red. I felt like I was leaving the circus!
Cooper glad he didn't have to get shots today!
Reagan finally let Cooper have "his" balloon.
Got all 4 and he's not letting them go!
Reagan got them back!

Kite Flying

It had been really windy (but raining) all weekend, and Reagan was wanting to fly her kite. Of course, today there wasn't much wind. But we tried anyway!!

Trying to get some air
Finally, she got it up in the air
Cooper's wondering what's going on...
She's becoming an expert kite flier
Great form!!
The wind died down...
So we decided to go for a walk around the neighborhood instead

Helping Daddy

After 4 days of rain, the grass was in desperate need of cutting. After cutting the grass, Reagan always likes to help Greg sweep the clippings up out of the road.

Hope she enjoys this when she's older!
She takes her job seriously
Cooper thinks he may want to help too
No, he'll go back up the driveway
Maybe he will help after all!
