Reagan's Big Day

WARNING: Reagan had a really big day, so there are lots of pictures!!!

Reagan started her day off by going on a date with dad to the IHOP
Cooper wanted in the picture, but he didn't want to look at the camera!Next Reagan started gymnastics school. She was so excited, she could hardly stand it!

Again, Cooper couldn't let Reagan have the spotlight all to herself! These pictures are poor quality, but they are all I have of her very 1st gymnastics class

Did you see me out there? Reagan got 2 smiley face stamps and a coloring sheet after class today After a date with dad, gymnastics, lunch and a bath, it was time to go see Disney on Ice~Celebrations. I've had the tickets for this event for over 3 months, but Reagan just found out about it last night!

Walking to the van

Before we left the show, Reagan said she wanted to get Cooper something. I assured her Cooper was fine and didn't even know what he was missing, but Reagan insisted and I couldn't rob her of the chance to be a good big sister. So, she picked him out a Mickey Mouse stuffed animal.
Giving Cooper his surprise
Reagan had a great day. When asked what her favorite part of the day was, she said gymnastics school ~ she can't wait to go again next week! I'm sure all parts of the day were enjoyed equally (at least I hope they were!)!
Whew! I know that was a lot of pictures (thanks for hanging in there), but that was less than 1/4 of what I took!

Week 6

6 weeks later and Greg's hand is looking 90% healed, although he says it is still tender in spots and it feels awkward to be able to grab things with 5 fingers instead of 3!!

Little Helpers

Greg and I had a couple of helpers today while we were getting some things crossed off our to-do lists.

Reagan heard Greg hammering and came running with her hammer ~ Cooper slept through the whole thing!
She wanted to help daddy hammer in the nail ~ she kept saying, "we're doing teamwork!"Greg said he was glad she didn't have a real hammer, because she kept hitting his finger instead of the nail Spoke too soon...she thought she try her skills with the real hammer More teamwork
Putting the cabinet in the laundry roomWhen Cooper woke up, he thought he'd help sweep up the mess Such good helpers! Look at all those cleaning tools ~ decisions, decisions...he finally got around to using them all!

A Rare Treat

Today after school, Reagan asked if she could go to Old McDonald's for a hamburger, french fries and a red drink. We rarely eat out on weekends, but since Greg wasn't home yet & I wasn't cooking...why not?! So we went through the drive-thru and came home with Happy Meals for each kid and and ice cream sundae to share.

Cooper is pointing for more ketchup ~ that has become his favorite food group lately!
Reagan & Cooper ate their entire happy meal ~ they couldn't wait for dessertLooking for the prizeAlmost done!

Week 5

More progress has been made! At the doctor's appointment this week, he was pleased with how well Greg could straighten his hand, but said he needed to work on bending his joints a little more. Next check up in 3 weeks.

It's Getting Cold Outside

Fall is in the air around here. This week, we've had to bring out the new jackets and start wearing pants and long sleeves.

I'm surprised how easy it was to get them to wear jackets
Screaming for the camera
Reagan wasn't too happy with her outfit because it wasn't "all pink"Cooper looks so cute in his pants and long sleeves!

Behavior Balls

For the past 4 weeks, Greg & I have tried a new behavior "program" with Reagan. We wanted to encourage/reinforce good behavior and reward her for it. Every time she shares, doesn't whine when being told to do something, does something after only being asked to do so once, does her homework, no time outs at school, etc, she gets to put a ball in the jar. Once the jar is filled (about 200 balls), she can pick a prize from the prize box. The first prize she has been working toward is the Wedding Barbie and Ken dolls. Today, the jar was finally filled (thanks Ms Connie for behaving at school!) and Reagan got her prize!!
Putting the last ball in the jar
The jar is full!So proud of her prizesAdmiring her new toysShe even got some bling-bling for herself

She played with these dolls all night
I told her to hold them like they were getting married and she turned them as if they were kissing each other! Reagan said they were getting married because she wanted a baby in her belly and you have to be married to do that!Let's hope the next prize out of the prize box is as successful as this one!
