Fall Festival 2009

We were healthy enough to make it to the Fall Festival tonight. Reagan and Cooper were so excited, they could hardly wait to see all of their friends and teachers dressed up!

Swine Flu ~ Day 4

Today, was day four of the Sandidge Infirmary. The kids were feeling better, I was tired of cartoons and we needed to do something different. So, we broke out the paints and play doh. And, aside from Cooper eating a little of each, I think they had a good time.

Flu Pharmacy

Here are the medicines that the kids have been on this week trying to rid themselves of the flu.

Thankfully, it seems to be working and Reagan & Cooper are feeling much better and their fevers broke (hopefully for good this time) this morning. Still have to stay home one more day from school, but I'm hoping they'll be good to go for the fall festival at school tomorrow night.

So Much For That

Well, I thought we were on the mend. Cooper went to school today and Reagan seemed to be feeling better. Then, school called ~ Cooper had a fever of 101 and needed to be picked up. I checked Reagan's temperature and it read 101.4. When we got home Cooper took a 3 1/2 hour nap and Reagan took about a 2 hour nap.

Hopefully, tomorrow will be the day that we turn the corner!

Resting Comfortably

After day spent recuperating at home, Reagan still had a fever of 101 at bedtime. She looks much better than she did at this time yesterday, but she is still not herself. When Cooper got home from school, he wanted to be right by her side ~ literally ~ all night.

And nothing makes a boy happier than talking to his daddy on the phone! Reagan and I will spend another day together at home tomorrow and hopefully she will be as good as new. She has to be better by Friday, the school carnival is that night and she has waited FOREVER to wear her costume to school ~ she mustn't be disappointed!!

Swine-O

It's official, the flu has hit the Sandidge house. We got a call from school today saying that Reagan had a fever, wasn't feeling well, and needed to be picked up. Luckily, Greg had the day off work because he had a follow-up appointment for his hand (which, by the way, is progressing quite nicely. One more visit and he should be released ~ praise the Lord!). But, the appointment was in Charlotte and he wasn't able to pick up Reagan for a couple of hours. So, she sat and slept in the make-shift infirmary, with Ms Connie until Greg could get to her. When I got home, I took her and Cooper (just in case) to the doctor...and there were positive tests for the flu for both of them. Dr B said that they assume it's swine flu because the seasonal flu season hasn't begun yet. Cooper appears to be on the upside of things since he was sick Saturday and Sunday ~ trust me, you'd never think the boy would test positive for the flu if you could see him! So...hopefully Reagan's sickness will be over just as quickly as Cooper's was.

Napping on the couch ~ you know she's sick if she's napping!
Poor thing! Look at her sick little eyes This was the thermometer reading before she went to bed tonight ~ 103.5

Please say a prayer for our sweet little girl, that Cooper's finished with it, and that Greg and I don't catch this bug.

Sunday Stuff

Cooper wasn't feeling his best this morning, so only the girls went to Jesus' house today. When we came home, this is what we found...
Cooper didn't look very comfortable, but Greg said he slept like that for about 30-45 minutes
Later in the evening...Reagan is channeling her inner hippie

And nothing makes a boy feel better like a...crown?
...or pushing baby strollers?
...posing for the camera
Thankfully, Cooper's illness didn't last too long ~ other than not eating like he normally does, you'd never have known he was sick!

Lost & Found

Here is a video of Cooper taken on 5/15/09. I haven't been able to upload this video until today ~ my how he's changed!
