Easter Packages from Mamaw & Papaw

Reagan and Cooper received a package in the mail yesterday from mamaw & papaw (because of bad behavior yesterday, they had to wait until today to open it ~ they didn't know they were missing out on a gift, they were just upset because they also had cartoons taken away from them yesterday afternoon!). After breakfast this morning, they were able to open their bags.
Cooper watched Reagan so he would know what to expect

April Fool's Day

Today was the last day of school for Reagan and Cooper this week. They each had Easter parties in their class and had new shirts, shorts and sandals to wear for the occasion.

Reagan's shirt said "one cute chick" ~ I couldn't agree more!
Cooper showing off his Easter basket
A picture of the both of them (Reagan is holding a picture of her feeding a giraffe ~ her class learned about giraffes this week)
Cooper played outside again this afternoon. Reagan came outside, but ran back in the house at the first sight of a bug ~ she's such a girly girl!

80 degrees

The weather forecast was 80degrees for today, so Reagan decided it would be a great day to wear a sundress!
Cooper wanted no part of short sleeves today, but I'm guessing with the temperature expected to reach 85 tomorrow, he'll change his mind!

When they got home from school, Cooper made a bee-line for the sand box
Speaking of bees, this is the only picture I could get of Reagan outside this afternoon. She saw & heard a couple of bees buzzing around and begged to go inside. She stayed in the screened in porch for a little while, but then decided she would be safer inside the house ~ far away from the bees!
Cooper, on the other hand, was running around trying to catch the bees. It was so fun to watch him run and listen to him laugh as he ran in circles after the bees. He kept saying, "here bees, I catch you? Where did they go?"
He tired of catching bees, so on to the wheel barrel he went.
If all else fails, just carry your equipment!

What else can he find to play with?
How about a cement truck!

He filled the mixer of the cement truck with leaves

The weather is supposed to be great all weekend! We're looking forward to it!

Kindergarten Screening

Today Reagan went for her kindergarten screening at the elementary school she will be attending next year. She was evaluated on writing her name, writing her ABCs and 123s, knowing shapes & colors. sorting, jumping, and so on. The teacher that evaluated Reagan said she would do great in kindergarten and had no areas to improve upon this summer!

Ready to go in to the school
Waiting her turn to be evaluated

Mark Your Calendars

Reagan's 5th birthday party
Saturday, April 24, 2010
invitations will be in the mail soon!

Reagan has been counting down her birthday for over a month, but (I think) she's finally grasping that her birthday is less than a month away! However, she still wakes up every morning wanting to know if today is her birthday because she is "ready to be 5"

The party supplies have been ordered!
We're just waiting on the party date to get here!

Our Little Helper

Cooper has become quite the little helper of late! Today he helped take out the trash and sweep the floors.

Who wants to help mom & dad? I do!

All done!

...Easter's On It's Way

Today, Reagan started getting into the Easter spirit by decorating bunny cookies. I found these pre- baked cookies with all the needed decorations at Michael's craft store for $1. Reagan loves anything to do with baking and I especially love the $1 bargain!!
Supplies are ready
Placing the bunny's ears with care
Having a great time!
drawing the faces on the bunny

So proud of her work!
The finished product (I helped push the icing out of the tube, but she placed it where she wanted it to go). Notice 2 of the bunnies have eyelashes ~ those are girl bunnies!
