Labor Day 2010

Our Labor Day started with Cooper waking up the campers... Looks like the campers may not have gotten enough sleep
Cooper was a little jealous of all the time Reagan was spending with daddy
We went to the park after a delicious pancake breakfast so the kids could run some energy off
We let them ride in the back of the truck from one part of the park to another
Mommy and Reagan in the back of the truck
Swinging with daddy
checking things out
Jumping high

working on balance

swinging on the monkey bars
in the tunnel

Whee!

As always, a snack must be had

We took Reagan's scooter to the park
Cooper brought his bike too
daddy trying to ride Cooper's bike
We cooked out hamburgers for lunch, then Cooper took a nap. After his nap was over, the kids played with water balloons and in the sprinkler

The sand box ~ an oldie, but a goodie

A Night Out(side)

We started the weekend off with one of the Sandidge family's favorite treats...homemade ice cream!

Reagan can't believe this may be the last time she gets homemade ice cream this year!
Cooper eats his ice cream with enthusiasm!
We had a couple of special visitors tonight ~ Gigi and Cindy stopped by on their way to the beach! Sure wish we could have gone with them! Maybe next time.
Reagan is so excited about her sleeping bag backpack
it even came with a matching water bottle

She didn't take it off all evening She even had it with her while she watched TV
Why is Reagan so excited about her sleeping bag backpack? Because we bought a tent today and she's finally going to get to use her sleeping back she got from Kim and Byrd!
She can't wait for the sun to go down
Cooper already has his pjs on!
It's camping time!!
Daddy and Reagan ready for bed (umm...ground)

Unfortunately, Cooper couldn't make it until the sun went down ~ he needed to go to bed. That meant that I couldn't sleep outside either...someone had to sacrifice and stay indoors (in a nice comfortable bed) to make sure Cooper didn't wake up ~ not that I was worried about him waking up, but...

On an exciting note...Cooper had his first BM in the big potty today! (Yes, I have a picture of it, but thought I'd spare you!) Hopefully he'll be fully potty trained before too long.

Visitors

As a special after school treat for Reagan and Cooper, Ms Deb & Ms Kim stopped by for a visit. The kids always enjoy a visit from two of the sweetest people we know!

Ms Deb knows what makes Reagan happy ~ riding scooters and bikes
And Cooper still loves to mow the sidewalk with anyone that will walk with him (that lawnmower was the best $12.99 we've ever spent!)
Look at the big smile on Reagan's face!
Showing Ms Kim the proper mowing technique
Thanks for coming to visit ladies, we always enjoy your company!

Backpack, Backpack

Yet another day of school for Reagan (I know you're wondering if I'm going to take a picture every school day for the next 13 years of Reagan walking into school....it's a thought!), but today she had a new accessory. Mamaw and Papaw sent Reagan a new backpack to begin her kindergarten career ~ complete with a turtle. Hopefully, this will suffice for the pet turtle she's still asking for!!

It's just so sweet and so sad all at the same time!
She is REALLY tired of me taking pictures of her every day
just precious
On the way home from school today, Reagan was talking about the seasons and she asked what season she was born in. I told her she was born in the spring. And she commented, "Oh yeah, I knew that. That's when the trees and flowers grow the most." I told her that was right and how proud of her I was for knowing that.
She replied, "I'm so smart, I've been in school a long time...like 3 days!"
Who knew you could learn so much in just 3 days of kindergarten?!?
