Freedom

The cast is off!! We went yesterday and Dr. Peckman said Reagan has lots of new bone growth and he is pleased with how well she has healed. Reagan was a little nervous about getting the cast taken off. Greg and I never told her that it was going to be "cut" off, but someone at school must have. Before the nurse took off the cast, Reagan kept saying, "Don't cut it off, it's not safe. It's not safe!" Considering that Reagan is 3 and she had a very loud saw coming at her, she did exceptionally well.

Let the cutting begin
Prying the cast open
Reagan said her cast was breaking like an egg
She can't believe it's gone! Reagan had to wear an apron to get xrays takenHere's our souvenir Reagan got a princess necklace for being such a brave girl (she also got a pink milkshake, but I couldn't drive and take pictures of that too!) She still holds her arm like it has a cast on it ~ she didn't want to get her arm wet in the bathtub

Olympic Parade

In honor of the 2008 Olympics, Cooper & Reagan's school put on a parade today. They asked that all of the children wear red, white or blue. Here are a few photos from the morning.

Cooper and his ever-present smile
Reagan trying to hold Cooper down for a shot with the both of them
A big grin

Sunday Fun

Just a few snapshots of our day...

Cooper really enjoys playing the alligator piano
Reagan's having a heart to heart with Cooper about which toys are hers (all of them) Playing in the Secret Garden A little love between siblings
Reagan is blowing zerberts on Cooper's back and Cooper loves it. As a matter of fact, she can tackle him (and she does often) and he thinks it is hilarious.

It's Baaaack!!

The infamous gate is back at the bottom of the stairs. All doors have to be shut and anything you don't want chewed on must be put up...Cooper is on the move!!

3 in 1

Three teeth in one day. He handled it like a champ. Cooper's top two front teeth and the upper tooth to the right of them came in on Friday. Looks like the upper left tooth will be in before too long.

He wouldn't let me get a picture holding his lips up to where you can see all 3 new teeth. (check out those gorgeous blue eyes)

Getting Brave

Cooper is testing his limits on pulling up and standing. He's trying to "creep" along the couches and from chair to chair. I'm sure boo-boos are soon to follow.

Sweet Baby Cooper
Is he brave enough to try the stairs?

Piano Playing

What's old is new again!! Reagan saw a picture of her playing the piano at Christmas 2006 and asked to get it back down from the attic. It's nice to have "new" toys again without spending any money!
Playing beautiful music
Cooper had to join in on the fun too
She's serious about playing the piano Not sure if she's helping him pick out a toy or trying to keep him from getting "her stuff"And now, a song by Reagan

SuperHero

This is just the sweetest video. Mamaw & Papaw Carpenter sent Reagan some "get well" money for her broken arm, so I went and bought her a Hillsong Kids DVD. I figured if she can learn all the words to songs in the cartoons, she can learn songs about Jesus too. Anyway, here is Reagan singing SuperHero. Once she noticed the video camera was on her, she quietened her singing voice and didn't do the motions to the song quite as much. But, it is still sweet none the less. You may need to turn up your volume to hear Reagan sing.

This is the DVD we bought. It is phenomenal. Reagan learned the words and the motions within a couple of days. These worship leaders really know how to get the kids to worship along with them.

Sad Day

I know it may not look like it, but today is a very sad day in the life of Cooper. One of his teachers, Ms. Marian, retired today. After all, she will be 82 in a couple of weeks. She had worked at the school for 10 years and all the kids (and parents too) just love her. The Parent Pals threw her a surprise retirement reception last week and believe it or not, I forgot my camera. Ms. Marian said she would be back as a substitute when needed. Things just won't be the same without her.

Cooper doesn't have many sad faces

When I Grow Up

Reagan has really been into playing dress up over the past few weeks. Today, she can't decide if she wants to be a princess or a doctor.

Notice the high heel shoes with socks...maybe she should stick with being a doctor. Reagan decided to practice her skills on me. She takes my blood pressure and checks my ears
By the way, Greg & I have both decided that we are in the wrong profession. We received the bill from the orthopaedist today and to put a cast on (which by the way is considered surgery even though the bone didn't need resetting...who knew) that took all of 15 minutes cost us almost $1,000. Thank the Lord for good insurance as our part is only $57

Dress Up

Reagan received a chef's outfit for Easter this year, but until recently hasn't been too interested in dressing like a chef.

Chef Reagan ready for her assignment
Helping daddy grill some steaks
Cooper thought he'd spend the quiet afternoon reading while Reagan was otherwise occupied. These moments are rare in his life!

Saturday in the Park

Another Saturday morning spent at the local park. Reagan, and now Cooper, really enjoy going to the park to swing, climb and slide. We're fortunate to live so close to a park and for the last few weeks, have had the park all to ourselves.

More time in the swings
Climbing up to the tunnels
Cooper got in a little climbing too
Look what I found as we were leaving ~ wonder what could be in store for the Sandidges next....
