Beautiful Day for a Bike Ride

Who can resist 60 degree weather in the middle of January?  Certainly not Reagan and Cooper ~ let the bike riding begin!

and she's off!
Oh no, Cooper found a stick!
 the battle has begun!

The MWR Tour

Reagan was out of school today for a teacher work day~so Greg and I took the day off from work and kept Cooper home from school so we could have a family day.  A friend from church works at Michael Waltrip Racing and invited us down for a behind-the-scenes tour of the shop.

a real race car!
Reagan appeased me and had her picture made by the car
the family and the phantom racer
 the haulers
the tires used for pit crew practice
 inside the fabrication shop
Mark Martin's car for 2012
 speaking of Mark Martin!
 Martin Truex's car(s)
 having a great time!
Michael Waltrip was in the building too!
we got to watch a commercial shoot
both racers waved and gave the "thumbs up" to Reagan and Cooper
Reagan loved watching the commercial being made
didn't realize how short Mark Martin was!
While we waited for Lewis to take us on the rest of the tour, Reagan sat and posed
finally, we got up close to the cars
What a fun day!  Thanks Lewis for letting us come to the shop

Career Day...Roar

Today was Career Day in Reagan's class.  They've been working all week on writing a paper they would present to the class and their parents.  Every paper began with "I have a dream to be..." and they filled in the rest.  There was a cop, nurse, doctor, event planner, pro soccer player, worker man, teacher, Navy guy, and many others.  The class was so creative.

Reagan has a dream to be a teacher
unfortunately, the video didn't take, but trust me ~ she was precious!
Cooper was a big hit today in his class with his dinosaur shirt
he chased all the kids, teacher, and parents around saying ":roar"

Double the Homework

Last week, Cooper was moved into a new class at school ~ he's now with the kids who will be in kindergarten with him (I can't believe I just typed that!  In 18 months, my baby boy will be in school.)  They are working on learning their letters.  This week's letter is "O".  And for the first time, he had homework ~ practice writing the letter "O" and color the animals whose name begins with the letter "O".

a boy hard at work
he took his homework very seriously
 precious hands
 such concentration
the finished work - he wrote the "COO" and I helped with the rest of his name.  All the other "Os" on the paper are all his!
He colored the otter, ostrich, and the octopus ~ pink and purple "just for Reagan"
while Cooper worked on his homework, Reagan did some art for Valentine's Day
Sweet Reagan story~
Mom: Reagan, do you know how much I love you?
Reagan: With all your heart!  Do you know how much God & Jesus love us?
Mom: How much?
Reagan: More than you'll ever know!

Girl Scout Camp

Schools were closed for the MLK Holiday, so Reagan decided she would like to give the Girl Scout Camp a try.  She was so excited about going ~ she was hoping she was going to be able to sell cookies today and be able to wear a uniform.  Sadly for her, that didn't happen today, but she did make lots of crafts and many new friends.

such a big girl going to camp where she didn't know anyone
They must have talked about what they wanted to be when they grow up at camp because this is the conversation that we had when I picked her up~
Reagan:  I'm going to marry Bryson when I grow up.
Mom: You are?
Reagan: Yes, and I'm going to stay home with the children while he goes out and tells people about Jesus everyday.
Mom:  That sounds wonderful.  What are you going to do when the children go to school?
Reagan:  I guess I'll get a job.
Mom:  What kind of job are you going to get?
Reagan:  I think I'll be a teacher.

How sweet that she and her "husband" want people to know about Jesus!  I'm so proud of her!
