Super Saturday

I know this is a ton of pictures for one entry, but we had so much fun today, I couldn't decide on which pictures to include. Trust me, there are a ton of pictures that didn't get uploaded. We started the day by going to Bojangle's to eat breakfast (after a stop at McDonald's so Reagan could have some pancakes). Then we went to the park for some family fun!

Friday Fun

TGIF...Today was beach day in Reagan's class. They've been learning about the ocean all week, so today, they all got to bring their bathing suits, sunglasses, hats and towels and play in the ocean at school. She continued the theme at home too!

Ready for the beach...except for the cast
Play time with Cooper
Reagan can make Cooper laugh like no one else
More laughter from Cooper
Let's go play!

Blowing bubbles Drawing with chalk
Ready for his 1st ride in a big boy stroller
Reagan wanted to push her baby just like mommy. And she walked the entire neighborhood!
Checking to make sure her baby is alright.

Boys Will Be Boys

It finally happened at school today...Cooper's teacher, Ms. Sharon, informed me when I came to pick him up, that Cooper has started....BITING! My sweet, sweet boy is the bully at school. To be fair (every good mother makes excuses for her child) he is the only one sitting up unassisted, the only one crawling, and the only one with teeth in his class. I'd say he's pretty advanced for his age!!! Watch out world, Cooper's growing up!

Who wouldn't want to be bitten by this sweet little boy?

No Problem

Reagan seems to be handling her broken wrist like a champion. She's having no trouble doing everything she did before "the accident". She was a rock star at school yesterday, showing off her purple cast to all the kids and teachers. And as you know, she just eats up attention!!

Eating left handed...no problem
Riding her tricycle...no problem
Playing in the secret garden...no problem acting like a baby to get more attention...no problem

Broken

That's exactly how I feel...broken ~ heartbroken to be exact. Reagan was playing and jumping on the couch Monday evening when I heard a loud thump. No big deal, I hear those noises all the time. This time, she cried a little longer than usual and wanted a little extra love. I thought she was just being her dramatic self and thought no more of it. She woke up Tuesday, still saying she had a boo-boo on her arm and it was hurting. We put a band-aid on it and off to school we went. I had noticed that she wasn't using her right hand to eat with, wouldn't use it to climb up in a chair...so I called her doctor. They did an xray, but he wasn't certain if her arm was broken or not, so he sent us to the orthopaedist. Within 2 minutes of seeing her xrays, we were moved to the casting room and my tears began to fall!! Dr. Pekman said she had a fractured wrist and it's common in children her age. Reagan was such a brave little girl and picked out a purple cast because that's her favorite color in the "whole wide world". The cast will have to stay on for at least 3 weeks.

Getting her cast on a the doctor's office (for the record I had my camera with me because of picture day at school, but it came in handy here too!)
Resting after a long day at doctor's offices
Showing her cast to CooperWhat can I do with this on my arm? At least she can still watch movies!

Picture Day at School

Today was picture day at school for Reagan and Cooper. Reagan was gracious enough to let me take her picture at home before getting the "real ones" done at school.

She even got a new dress for the occasion
After the "official" school picture was taken. They had their pictures taken separately and together. They did a great job, I can't wait until we get to see the proofs next week.
Reagan kept wanting to get her picture made, so here she is with her classmates Parvenae and Hayden
Such a great smile!

Secret Garden

Reagan came downstairs this afternoon with her gardening gloves, hat and tool bag in hand. She said she needed to go work in the secret garden and would I come with her. So off we went. I had no idea what she was planning, but she seemed to know exactly what she was doing.

Watering the garden Notice how the tool bag is being carried like a purse
Now, she decided we needed to look for grasshoppers
Reagan even made up a song about her secret garden ~ listen closely

Too Soon

Since Cooper is trying to pull up on everything, we lowered his crib to the lowest setting...just in case. He seems pretty happy with his new setting, don't you think?

Sunday Session

A glimpse of our day on Sunday.

We bought Reagan a Hillsong Kids Worship DVD and she loves to sing along. They use microphones, so Reagan had to get hers out too!
Cooper is mobile and is everywhere, he doesn't let a little thing like a jumparoo stop him from getting where he needs to be!
He got his toy!!
Not sure if this is good or bad, but Cooper now smiles on command for the camera!
Reagan donning her princess attire again today

Cooper's really moving now ~ even trying to pull up on everything. Watch how happy he is when he gets to a standing position

Crawling

Maybe he'll be a military man ~ he's got the army crawl down to a science!

By the next day, he was a crawling superstar (very hard to catch on video though). However, he still likes to do a few yoga poses here and there!

Yes, Lord

I originally starting the camera rolling to capture Cooper crawling, but then Reagan began to sing one of her favorite songs about Jesus...and it was just too cute. Sorry the quality is not the best, but the singing is from the heart of a little girl whose favorite is Jesus!
(you may need to turn up the volume)
