Broken

That's exactly how I feel...broken ~ heartbroken to be exact. Reagan was playing and jumping on the couch Monday evening when I heard a loud thump. No big deal, I hear those noises all the time. This time, she cried a little longer than usual and wanted a little extra love. I thought she was just being her dramatic self and thought no more of it. She woke up Tuesday, still saying she had a boo-boo on her arm and it was hurting. We put a band-aid on it and off to school we went. I had noticed that she wasn't using her right hand to eat with, wouldn't use it to climb up in a chair...so I called her doctor. They did an xray, but he wasn't certain if her arm was broken or not, so he sent us to the orthopaedist. Within 2 minutes of seeing her xrays, we were moved to the casting room and my tears began to fall!! Dr. Pekman said she had a fractured wrist and it's common in children her age. Reagan was such a brave little girl and picked out a purple cast because that's her favorite color in the "whole wide world". The cast will have to stay on for at least 3 weeks.

Getting her cast on a the doctor's office (for the record I had my camera with me because of picture day at school, but it came in handy here too!)
Resting after a long day at doctor's offices
Showing her cast to CooperWhat can I do with this on my arm? At least she can still watch movies!

Poor Reagan. She looks so brave and cute with her cast. Kids are so strong when these things happen we don't always know when they are hurt different than normal. You did a great job getting her arm checked and casted when you did. Hope she can get the cast off before too long so she can come swimming.
