We Miss You, Dad

Reagan and Cooper are anxiously awaiting daddy's return home on Friday. It's tough keeping them happy at the same time, but we're making it the best we can!
Reagan really wants to play patty-cake with Cooper. Notice her intensity when he tries to break free!

Look Familiar?

So maybe they are brother and sister after all!!!
Chewing on the same remote!

Mohawk

Having a little fun with Cooper's hair at bathtime!
What do you think, should this be his new look?

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day, Greg! You are a great father and husband and we love you very much!

Here are the cards that Reagan and Cooper made at school.

This card is from Cooper
"Walk a little slower, daddy." said a little child so small;
I'm following in your footsteps and I don't want to fall.
Sometimes your steps are very fast, sometimes they're hard to see;
So walk a little slower daddy, for you are leading me.
Someday when I'm all grown up, you're what I want to be;
Then I will have a child who'll want to follow me.
And I would want to lead just right, and know that I was true;
So, walk a little slower daddy, for I must follow you.

And the card from Reagan

A father wears ties and talks real deep.
When I'm afraid, he helps me sleep.
He holds my hand and makes me laugh.
He pays the bills and mows the grass.
He fixes things when they are broke.
He always kids around and jokes.
When he needs to be firm, he does it with love.
For my father, I thank the One above.Daddy with Reagan & Cooper

3 generations of Sandidges
And finally, a sweet message from Reagan
A cute story from Reagan ~ yesterday at church, Reagan's class was learning that God made their friends. The teacher asked Reagan who her best friend was and Reagan said "Daddy". How appropriate on Father's Day!

Favorite Foto Friday

Some "best smiles of the week" photos

Cooper, just home from school and ready for a nap
After this picture, Reagan said "no more say cheese mommy"
And, just one more cute photo of Reagan with a cute story. Reagan has been a little constipated this week, so last night after bath I had to do the ole suppository trick. As I was drying her off and putting lotion on her, I had to sneak one in her (if it's possible to sneak one). Anyway, here's the conversation that followed:
Reagan: I didn't want my temperature taken mommy.
Mommy: I didn't take your temperature.
Reagan: What did you do in my butt?
Mommy: I just put lotion on you.
Reagan: My buttsa hurting mommy, my buttsa hurting.
After a few minutes of crying (literally less than 5 minutes), magic happened and unfortunately, Reagan pooped in her panties.
Reagan: I pooped in my panties mommy.
Mommy: It's ok, let's go sit on the potty and finish
Reagan: It's not nice to poop on Dora. I'm sorry Dora. I'm sorry Dora

A sweet laugh to brighten your day!

Cooper's Corner

Look at that sweet face!! Tell me, who could resist him?
Cooper has mastered (for a couple of seconds anyway) the art of sitting up. Not to worry, no heads were injured in the making of this video!

Cooper looks like he's ready to start crawling any day now. Notice in the video that every time Reagan cries, he gets the biggest smile on his face. He can't understand why she's unhappy. (She's unhappy because she's in time out, but that's another story for another day!)

Reagan's New Favorite Things

Reagan's new favorite thing #1 - gum. She discovered chewing gum on Saturday. She actually chewed a piece then and did very well, but since then she'd rather play with the gum than chew it. She likes to get different colors of gum and put them in a bowl, mix them up and make a "cake" for us all to enjoy. She played with these 5 sticks of gum for almost an hour today! Who knew gum was a toy???
Reagan's new favorite thing #2 - playing picnic. Playing party used to be her favorite thing to do, but ever since she had a picnic at school last week, that's all she can talk about. In the picture here, she's laid out a blanket, plate, cup, and utensils for everyone (well, she said for Gigi, Mamaw, Papaw and Byrd. I asked her if that was all and she said no, Kim and dad and mom and Cooper can come too!). She made us some cookies and gave us some milk and a pat of butter for dessert.

Reagan's new favorite thing #3 - watching Clifford the Big Red Dog on PBS. Here's a video of her watching the intro to Clifford. Listen closely to how she says "Emily Elizabeth" (Clifford's owner). It was so cute, I just had to get it on video!!

How Stimulating is This?

We've been stimulated, how about you? We hope to use our money to take a vacation at the end of the summer. Hopefully, Cooper will be able to sit up and crawl by then and Reagan will be even more independent~if that's even possible!

Curious Cricket

Today was Reagan's 1st day in her new class, Curious Crickets. Many tears were shed this morning (by Reagan, mom and Ms. Lisa ~ Reagan's teacher last year, umm last week) but by the time I picked Reagan up this afternoon, Ms. Gomery said she had a great day. She even took a nap!!! Hopefully the rest of the week will go just as smooth. We did have a few outbursts this afternoon, but I believe that's due to all the changes going on in her life this week - new class, new teacher, dad's gone all week.

I know I'm biased, but isn't she the most beautiful girl in the world?

Woo-Hoo!!!

Today, Greg starts his new job with Insurance Auto Auctions. It's been an interesting 18 months since he left Enterprise! God has taught us plenty ~ most of all patience and all that we really need is Him and our family. We are so thankful to be beginning this new chapter in our lives and are excited to see what happens next!

Got Binoculars?

In an effort to do a little spring cleaning, Greg and I got rid of the massive structure in our living room that was the TV and entertainment center. We moved the TV from the bonus room downstairs and, can I just say, I love it. Although the new TV is about 1/3 the size, it is sooo nice not to have the monster in the living room any longer. However, when you come to visit, you may need to bring your binoculars for the TV!
Cute story from Reagan...when she got home from school she asked what happened to the TV. She started watching cartoons on the couch and after a minute or two, moved onto the floor about 2 feet away from this TV. I guess her eyes hadn't had time to adjust yet!
