Picnic Party

Unbeknownst to me, I happened to be shopping on Tax Free Weekend, so I picked up a few items that Reagan needed (OK, not really needed, but I thought she would enjoy). And, I probably saved $0.64 ~ can't beat that with a stick!!!

I bought Reagan a lunch box of her very own to take to school when they have picnic days
So, we decided to break it in and have a picnic in the living room for dinner last night
Cooper joined us for the picnic and ate his dinner on the blanket too
Trying out a sippy cup
Look ma, I can do this with one hand!
What is up with his hair?
Cooper is becoming a pro at pulling himself up - the problem is he can't stay standing for very long and that frustrates him to no end!

Raw Hide

I knew Cooper was a thumb sucker, but since he's been teething with his upper teeth, he's chewed the skin off of his thumb. Poor baby, I know it has to hurt, but I don't know of anything I can put on it since he'll put his thumb back in his mouth again. Any suggestions?

Picture Perfect

Reagan and Cooper had pictures made at school last week (just hours before the cast) and today we got to pick them up. I know this is not the best quality, but these are pictures of pictures, so bear with me.

A great picture of the two of them. Both smiling like they really like being near each other.
Such a pretty young lady

Super Saturday

I know this is a ton of pictures for one entry, but we had so much fun today, I couldn't decide on which pictures to include. Trust me, there are a ton of pictures that didn't get uploaded. We started the day by going to Bojangle's to eat breakfast (after a stop at McDonald's so Reagan could have some pancakes). Then we went to the park for some family fun!

Friday Fun

TGIF...Today was beach day in Reagan's class. They've been learning about the ocean all week, so today, they all got to bring their bathing suits, sunglasses, hats and towels and play in the ocean at school. She continued the theme at home too!

Ready for the beach...except for the cast
Play time with Cooper
Reagan can make Cooper laugh like no one else
More laughter from Cooper

Boys Will Be Boys

It finally happened at school today...Cooper's teacher, Ms. Sharon, informed me when I came to pick him up, that Cooper has started....BITING! My sweet, sweet boy is the bully at school. To be fair (every good mother makes excuses for her child) he is the only one sitting up unassisted, the only one crawling, and the only one with teeth in his class. I'd say he's pretty advanced for his age!!! Watch out world, Cooper's growing up!

Who wouldn't want to be bitten by this sweet little boy?

No Problem

Reagan seems to be handling her broken wrist like a champion. She's having no trouble doing everything she did before "the accident". She was a rock star at school yesterday, showing off her purple cast to all the kids and teachers. And as you know, she just eats up attention!!

Eating left handed...no problem
Riding her tricycle...no problem
Playing in the secret garden...no problem acting like a baby to get more attention...no problem

Broken

That's exactly how I feel...broken ~ heartbroken to be exact. Reagan was playing and jumping on the couch Monday evening when I heard a loud thump. No big deal, I hear those noises all the time. This time, she cried a little longer than usual and wanted a little extra love. I thought she was just being her dramatic self and thought no more of it. She woke up Tuesday, still saying she had a boo-boo on her arm and it was hurting. We put a band-aid on it and off to school we went. I had noticed that she wasn't using her right hand to eat with, wouldn't use it to climb up in a chair...so I called her doctor. They did an xray, but he wasn't certain if her arm was broken or not, so he sent us to the orthopaedist. Within 2 minutes of seeing her xrays, we were moved to the casting room and my tears began to fall!! Dr. Pekman said she had a fractured wrist and it's common in children her age. Reagan was such a brave little girl and picked out a purple cast because that's her favorite color in the "whole wide world". The cast will have to stay on for at least 3 weeks.

Getting her cast on a the doctor's office (for the record I had my camera with me because of picture day at school, but it came in handy here too!)
Resting after a long day at doctor's offices
Showing her cast to CooperWhat can I do with this on my arm? At least she can still watch movies!
