A Wiggly Good Time

Reagan and I got to go see The Wiggles in concert in Greensboro, NC on Saturday. We had a wonderful day together and saw a pretty good concert! (I think I'm earning back points from the broken arm!)

We started the day at McDonald's

We made it to Greensboro and Reagan was off and running with or without me...but she does have her purse!

Ready for the concert to start

Toot-toot, chugga-chugga big red car...Sam, Anthony, Jeff & Murray

Do you see them mom?

Dancing, but not real sure about it!

Slowly warming up to the idea of dancing in public

She finally went down front and made a new friend to dance with

Dancing to "Can you point you fingers and do the twist?"

Reagan really had a fun time at the concert

Another crowd favorite "Hot Potato, Hot Potato"

Time for The Wiggles to say good bye!

Of course after all that dancing, Reagan "needed" a souvenir, a drink and some popcorn.

The end!!

Big Sister, Big Help

Reagan loves to help feed Cooper and I think he enjoys it more than she does. Let's just hope she always wants to help out her little brother.

Playing Around

Cooper's getting into everything, including Reagan's toys. He discovered her trampoline and loves it!!

Jumping for joy!
What a cutieHe loves to play with the door stops too. We sat for almost 45minutes as he played this game
Cooper's also discovered the Tupperware cabinet. One of Reagan's favorite places to play when she was his age.

Dinner Time Fun

The Cover Up

How sweet is this...while I was cleaning up and Cooper was taking a nap, Reagan told me she was going upstairs to cook in her kitchen. She then came and told me that "Cooper is OK, I take care of him." I peeked in on him and this is what I found.

She had put a blanket, pillow and puppy dog in his bed for him
Didn't seem to phase him one bit (not even when I took everything back out of the bed)
You just gotta love big sisters!
By the way, Cooper's 6th tooth broke through today...He's a gnawing machine!

Cupcake Queen

Once again, Reagan decided she wanted to make cupcakes for her daddy. We went to the grocery store on Sunday and she picked out the cake mix and the icing flavor. I thought she might forget about making them, but she has a mind like a steel trap (when it's her idea or something she wants to do!). So, Tuesday after school we began making cupcakes.

I let Reagan put the frosting and the sprinkles on the cupcakes all by herself
She's very focused on icing the cupcakes...and eating what ends up on her hands, arms, elbows, etc.
She decided these cupcakes were for my birthday and began singing "Happy Birthday to Mommy"
Cooper had a good time watching Reagan work
One day, he'll be able to get his hands on the cupcakes
The finished product
Cooper passed the time by eating stars.

Homework

Yes, in the 3 year old class, they have homework. Usually, it is only once a week, so it's not too bad. And for now, Reagan is really excited about doing it...let's just hope that continues as she gets older. This week they're learning about a different color each day.
Tonight's assignment...draw a picture with a red crayon. She had to choose the crayon herself and draw a picture unassisted.
She's become ambidextrous since having a cast

On the Patio

We took advantage of the nice weather on Sunday and ate on the patio.

Reagan ready to dig in
It's time to eat!!
The most famous 4 words uttered by Reagan, "I need a snackie"
She's got a little ghetto in her!
A boy from the neighborhood, Alan, came to play at the beach with Reagan
Then a relaxing slide

Welcome Home Folks!

I think Cooper was happy to see his mom and dad come home!!

Getting some one-on-one time with daddy

If you listen really close at the end, you can hear him say "mama"

Thank You

A big thank you goes out to Gigi and Papaw Sandidge. They graciously agreed to come and spend 2 nights with Reagan and Cooper while Greg and I went to Asheville. I had a business meeting at the Inn at Biltmore and thanks to uncle Astra, Greg was allowed to stay there with me. This saved him from having to drive back and forth on Thursday and Friday and it allowed me not to miss any of my meeting. Since we were already in Asheville, we decided to stay an additional night (at a more affordable hotel). This was the first time in 3 1/2 years that Greg and I have had a weekend (or any night) alone ~ by my choice of course. I wasn't worried about the kids, I was worried how I would make it!! Only 2 phone calls a day...not too bad!!

A hug always makes things better!

Freedom

The cast is off!! We went yesterday and Dr. Peckman said Reagan has lots of new bone growth and he is pleased with how well she has healed. Reagan was a little nervous about getting the cast taken off. Greg and I never told her that it was going to be "cut" off, but someone at school must have. Before the nurse took off the cast, Reagan kept saying, "Don't cut it off, it's not safe. It's not safe!" Considering that Reagan is 3 and she had a very loud saw coming at her, she did exceptionally well.

Let the cutting begin
Prying the cast open
Reagan said her cast was breaking like an egg
She can't believe it's gone! Reagan had to wear an apron to get xrays takenHere's our souvenir Reagan got a princess necklace for being such a brave girl (she also got a pink milkshake, but I couldn't drive and take pictures of that too!) She still holds her arm like it has a cast on it ~ she didn't want to get her arm wet in the bathtub

Olympic Parade

In honor of the 2008 Olympics, Cooper & Reagan's school put on a parade today. They asked that all of the children wear red, white or blue. Here are a few photos from the morning.

Cooper and his ever-present smile

A big grin
