Fabulous Friday

We had a busy Friday ~ starting with a doctor appointment for Greg (more on that in another post), then back to work for Tara, ice cream day for Reagan and Cooper, and finally dinner out as a family.

Some people want their name in lights, Reagan wants hers in pancakes! Waiting in line for the ice cream man
Have money, will eat ice cream Trying to pay Ms Vicki for the ice cream
No, Ms Vicki made Reagan pay the ice cream man herself
Reagan chose a Spider man treat ~ she'd been looking forward to this all week
Yummy!
Reagan wanted to wear this particular dress because it had "spiderwebs" on it
Worth the wait
Daddy trying to get a bite of Reagan's ice cream
So good!
Cooper enjoyed his bomb pop ice cream too!
Big bite!
They both came home sticky and stained from their Popsicles, but they loved them. Thanks to the teachers at the school who not only take care of my 2, but dozens of other messy eaters just like them! We truly appreciate you allowing our kids to have a fun disruption to their day.
After school on the couch watching cartoons...together...wtihout fighting
We headed to Cracker Barrel for a family dinner. This is a rare treat because Greg usually doesn't get home until 6:30 or 7pm every night.
Cooper cheesing for the camera ~ he flirted with everyone at the restaurant
Reagan enjoying her cornbread
No trip to Cracker Barrel is complete unless you rock in the rocking chairs
Cooper likes to rock too

Cool Car

This week, my van had to go in the shop for a few repairs, so I had to get a rental car. Reagan was so excited to have a new car. She kept saying, "Cool car. I want to keep this car forever!" It was nice to drive a new vehicle, however much to my dismay I have become a van person. It was so hard getting the kids in and out of their seats in this car.

I was hoping that the Golden Nugget's stint at the repair shop would trigger Uncle AZ to get me a new car (which is supposed to happen at 75,000 miles and my van has over 88,000 miles), but alas it hasn't. I'm trying not to complain too much, because I'm very blessed to have a company car, but a new one would be so nice!!

At Work and Play

Tonight's activities consisted of work (for Reagan) and play (for Cooper). Reagan's class is learning about butterflies this week and she wanted to practice drawing them before she had to turn in her homework on Friday.

Drawing lessons from daddy
Cooper, the executiveSee my giraffe?
How 'bout the cow?
Still doing homework
Still playing...and at least it is with some manly toys tonight!

Taking Turns

Finally!!! This bliss lasted for about 5 minutes before the fighting started again!

Taking turns pushing each other in the stroller for Reagan's baby dolls

Sunday School Fun

For the past 2 weeks, the school where our church meets has been having the floor stripped, so we have had to meet at a "loaner church building" elsewhere in the city. It has been really nice not to have to set up or tear down and just have church like normal people!

Cooper talking with Mr. Dan
Most people clean when they leave, Cooper starts the day with vacuuming! Do you see me Mr. Dan?

Reagan's class didn't meet because of space, so she helped me in the Boxcar Babies class this week
Singing "Happy, Happy Home"
More singing
Natalie, Cooper and Andrew are ready for snack time
time for the lesson
Reagan was listening intently to the story of Gideon
Cooper and Andrew fussing over snacks
Reagan helped me feed baby Maddy
Cooper wanted to help too!

Reagan told me she wanted a brand new baby like Maddy at her house and she would help me feed her. I don't think so, but thanks anyway!

Saturday Fun

We had a wonderful and relaxing Saturday! We started the morning at the IHOP, then on to the "golf course", and then to the park. We capped off our evening with milkshakes from the Cook Out!

Cooper wasn't very interested in having his picture made at the IHOP so early in the morning.
Action shot of Reagan and daddy eating ~ to be honest, they weren't thrilled about getting their pictures made either! So excited to be on the links again (or Dick's Sporting Goods, but they don't know the difference yet!)
She got a hole in one ~ she kept saying, "I'm the winner, I'm the winner!"
Contemplating his next shot
He made it!
We then made our way to the park. We hadn't been there in several months ~ and Reagan and Cooper were glad to be back!
Whee!
So much fun!
Crawling through the tunnel
Getting ready to slide
Cooper wanted to try out the big slide
Time to swing
Such a big boy
Hard to believe she's 4 years old!
"Higher, higher"
"Whee!"

Reagan likes to be the leader
Cooper still wanted to swing
No trip to the park would be complete without snacks!
Cooper needed some juice too!
Taking a break
Cheese!
When we got home, Cooper pretended to be asleep as long as I would rub his back (Greg took this picture to prove I really do exist!)
"Who wants to go get a milkshake?"
"I do"
"I do too"
The milkshake is really good!
Delicious!
I'm not sure which of these two likes ice cream the most
My cute little family!
