Future Musicians

Just some good 'ole fun down on the farm!!!
Cute Reagan story: We were watching TV the other night (love my DVR by the way) when Reagan asked the following...
Reagan: "Can we watch the dance?" (So You Think You Can Dance?)
Mom: "We don't have the dance anymore, I erased it"
Reagan: "I want to watch football"
Mom: "You want to watch football?"
Reagan: "Yes, I just love that game"
Mom: "What is your favorite team?"
Reagan: "I don't like the blue team, they can't find the ball. I like the orange team." (Is my girl a true TN fan or what?"

Overheard

No pictures today, only cute conversations I've overheard the past few days.

Reagan (trying to console Cooper): "Do you want Daddy? Do you want mommy? Do you want Bubba ~ he's your best friend"

At home sick, Reagan was drawing on her magna doodle: "I am awesome. I am so awesome. This is an awesome circle!"

Reagan asked for spaghetti for dinner one night. I boiled some noodles and put jar sauce over it. She refused to eat it. The next night, she asked for spaghetti again, this time from the restaurant. Once it arrived she said, "Now that's more like it!"

Again asking for dinner Reagan said, "you better hurry and get me some food before I disappear!"

We were watching Mickey Mouse and the letter "S" came on the screen. I asked her who had a letter "S" in their name and she said "Sam" (a friend at school). I asked her who else had a letter "S" and her reply was, "I do! Sandidge has the letter "S". I'm the perfect girl for a letter "S"!"

After going trick or treating at school, I let her have one piece of candy on the ride home. She chose a KitKat bar. When she finished she said, "I just love that chocolate, don't you mom?"

Tuesday Morning Photo Shoot

As we do most days, today Reagan and Cooper got their pictures made before school. Reagan agreed to do it even though she said she "didn't have on a beautiful dress that spins". Cooper just wants to be included in anything Reagan does.

Reagan and mommy
Cooper wanted to join usMommy and Cooper
"What is she yelling at?"
Let's both scream!!
These 2 have me wrapped around their little fingers
After breakfast this morning, Reagan and I had a conversation. This is how it went:
Reagan: "Mommy, feel my belly"
Mommy: feeling her belly "Wow"
Reagan: "My belly is fat"
Mommy: "It's not fat, it's just full!
Reagan: "Well, your belly is fat"
Mommy: "Excuse me?"
Reagan: "When I get big, I want to have a big belly like yours"
Mommy: "I worked hard for my big belly!"
Reagan: "Your belly is good and big!"
Mommy: "I think it's time for you to go and play"...

Happy 4th of July

Just a normal Saturday here at the Sandidge house. We started with a family breakfast at the IHOP and then on to some shopping. Reagan has been asking for a ballerina skirt and shirt for a couple of weeks now and we found one she loved at Target. She had to put it on as soon as she got home, she even napped in it and wore it until it was time to take a bath.

Doing her computer work in her ballerina costume
Playing the harmonica in her ballerina costumeCooper dancing to his own music
Finally, some ballet moves
Using the refrigerator as a ballet bar
Cooper taking my picture
His turn on the computer
Not a very exciting day, although we did discover that Reagan and Cooper are mesmerized by The Lawrence Welk Show. They watched it for almost 30minutes in complete silence, only clapping for each performance!!! Who knew?
Cute Reagan story: While cleaning up the kitchen table from supper, someone passed gas. We asked Reagan if it was her and her reply, "It wasn't me. My gas won't come out, it is very tired."

Sunday Fun

We started the day by going to Jesus' House and then lunch, followed by ice cream and naps. The afternoon was full of art projects and bike riding!

My sweet little man
My sweet big girl We bleached the sand dollars we found on vacation and let Reagan paint them. I'm going to put them in a shadow box in her room with some of the shells and the star fish we found
She takes her art very serious
The finished sand dollars
While we had the supplies out, Reagan wanted to do a little stamping
Next, she put together a poster for her class at school that had some of her favorite things on it ~ pictures, stickers and she did some original artwork with crayons
Everything had to be placed just right
On to bike riding
Whee!
She loves the princess bell on her bike
Cooper had to mow the road again today!
He takes road maintenance very serious
She's really getting the hang of riding her bicycle
Here is a picture of the princess bicycle
The bicycle has a pouch on the front of it for necessities ~ Reagan put bracelets, necklaces and hair bows in the pouch ~ what else would a princess put in there?

After church, we always ask Reagan what she learned. Today the lesson was on Solomon building God's house. I asked who helped build God's house and Reagan replied, "Maybe it was Handy Manny!" Thankfully she saved herself by saying, "No, I'm just teasing you!"

Finally Friday

The end of another week ~ seemed even longer since we'd been on vacation last week! Here are a few pictures from our day.

Reagan is all smiles and ready to go to school
Reagan wanted me to take a picture with herCooper brushing his teeth

Too bad daddy leaves for work so early!
Reagan picked out Cooper's balloon color at the doctor's office

He let his balloon go (inside the house, so all is not lost!)
I took Cooper to the doctor after school today because he's had a horrible diaper rash for a couple of weeks now. Nothing over the counter seemed to work. Here's the conversation with Reagan as we were walking in to the office ~
Reagan: "Why are we taking Cooper to the doctor, does his belly hurt?"
Mom: "We're going to the doctor to see what's wrong with Cooper's bottom because I don't know what it is."
Reagan: "I don't know either. I'm not a doctor."
Mom: "I'm not a doctor either. Do you want to be a doctor when you grow up?"
Reagan: "No, I'm a princess. Princess Reagan and that's all!"
Cooper said his first sentence ~ "Thank You Mama" ~ as I sat his dinner plate on the table in front of him!

Take My Picture?

After Reagan got dressed for school she said, "I have on a beautiful dress today, do you want to take a picture?" Of course I was more than happy to oblige! Cooper wanted in on the action too.

Here are a few more cute quotes from Reagan:
  • After getting dressed for school one morning ~ "Mommy, I need someone to tell me I'm beautiful"
  • When I picked her up from school today, she asked me if I could fix her hairbow on the side...I did and then she said, "I need a mirror." While looking in the mirror and twirling around, "I'm so pretty!" I guess she's heard that once or twice!
  • Today at school they discussed their favorite foods. I asked Reagan what her favorite foods were and she said, "Horn Dogs, french fries and applesauce". Maybe she's combining corn dogs & hot dogs.

She's Now a Bumble Bee

Monday, Reagan started in the Bumble Bee Room at school. Her teachers for this year are Ms. Vickie and Ms. Connie. She had been so excited all week to start in the 4 year old class, because she's 4 and she's big. She did really well walking into class and letting me leave without much clingy-ness (Reagan is not one for change). I'm so proud of her and know that she will blossom in this class.

Ready to go to school
She wanted to make sure I got a picture of the bow on her dress! Cooper didn't change classes yet, but he & his buddy Noah got some new friends!

Cute Reagan story:
Today while playing with Cooper, a fight breaks out as usual. Reagan comes crying to me and this is the conversation that follows ~
Reagan: I don't like that boy.
Mom: What boy?
Reagan: Cooper
Mom: What did he do?
Reagan: He hit me. Can you put him back?
Mom: Put him back where?
Reagan: Put him back in your belly.
Mom: He won't fit.
Reagan: Well, you can get married again and then put him back. Can you put me back in your belly too?
Mom: No, you won't fit either
Reagan: Well, I want to go back in your belly for a few minutes.

A Few More Vacation Memories

This is how we found Reagan when we went to wake her on the day we left for home. Why sleep on only one bed when you have two!
Back home playing with Cinderella and the Barbie Jeep
Having dinner with one of the babies who wasn't able to make it to the beach
Sunday morning and Reagan doesn't want to watch cartoons with Cooper ~ she likes them all to herself!
Family portrait before going to church

Here are just a few quotes from Reagan while we were on vacation this week:
  • "I want to push the buttons on the alligator (elevator)"
  • when we arrived at our condo, she asked "where's the toy room? there's no upstairs"
  • to EVERYONE, and I do mean EVERYONE she met at the pool or on the beach, "what's your name?" "how old are you?" "I'm Reagan. I'm 4 years old. I'm going to Ms Vicki's class because I'm 4." "Are you my best friend?"
  • while walking to the beach..."daddy, give me a chance to be the leader. Just one chance"
  • while in the pool with another man and his daughter (after asking her name and age)..."mommy, he has hair all over his body. do you see it?"
  • while having pancakes for breakfast..."I need some butter. Butter makes everything better!"
  • sitting on the couch when we got back home in her sad voice..."I want to go back to the beach" Me too baby, me too!
We had a wonderful vacation and can't wait to go again next year...stay tuned for details!
